A few points: 1. We still need a decent keeper. One great save from Mandanda but he was at fault for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th goals. You can't stay on your line for headers from 6 yards out. 2. Liverpool pressed us high up the pitch yet we sat back on the halfway line or beyond in the first half and tried to play as an away team. 3. Watch their corners - hit with pace so if someone does get a touch it will fly in at speed. Our corners are floated so the player meeting it has to generate all the power themselves. 4. Now 8 out of 10 games where we've conceded first. 5. Can't believe he took off McArthur with 5 mins to go and brought on Campbell. 6. Disappointed with Benteke - you expect a bit more effort from someone who cost £27m. 7. Need a decent CM to replace Ledley. Can't believe you're blaming mandanda for those goals, power headers from 4 or 5 yards out....only stop those if they hit you.....more to do with the bin dippers being given free headers than bad goalkeeping...

I agree with no.6 I know he hasn't had great service, but I reckon he's had 5 or 6 very good chances in the last 3 games which could have won us points.

People keep saying that he dominates his area but he doesn't. You have to come for balls around the 6 yard box. Otherwise any contact and it's a goal. I was watching him for the second and he moved to about 4 yards out when it was taken, saw it was an outswinger and went back to his line.

im still waiting "Willo"? as my question wasnt about your mate i was hoping for an answer!!! He can't answer because the only possible response is that referees are entirely inconsistent, especially around the big four, that they're all in awe of. He'd rather cut off his right nut than admit that, so I suspect that the silence will remain deafening.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

As for the sentiments above, I don't accept for a minute that referees are "In awe" of the big four and seek to make decisions in their favour. As for all this "Inconsistency" argument, I have already made umpteen comments on HOL about this and I really don't need to repeat myself over and over again. If I was a troll I would probably delight in such regurgitation to satisfy my desire but alas I am far from being one. I didn't, I just said you don't stop unchallenged powerful headers from 4 or 5 yards unless you get lucky....

I believe the suggestion is that Mandanda could come and collect headers from 4 or 5 yards otherwise he DOES stand no chance.Wouldn't surprise me to see Hennessey recalled against Burnley.

Watched a different game as Benteke battled all game long against two good strong centre backs in my eyes. Unlucky not to score, but hit the target which is all you can ask and had a big hand in our second equaliser, plus should of won a penalty.
