Townsend will probably play on the right wing. Certainly not shy of cutting in from the right on to his left-foot and shooting from outside the box. But he is also happy going outside defenders on the right flank and crossing with his right foot.

Really pleased with this. Pardew's record with transfers hasn't been great so far but this is a big improvement. Makes me wonder if Bolasie will be on his way though.

On topic, damn good midfield; but still need more creativity down the middle? Last season there seemed to be a direct correlation between the performance of the team and the fitness of Puncheon.
