Adebayor is a very good striker but a trouble maker. His presence at Palace could ruin the tremendous spirit we have in our team. Let's stay away from him! Our manager of course knows nothing about him... Even our manager does not know in advance the problems he could create in the team!

I was listening to talksport recently, and they were talking about Spurs decision to leave Harry Kane on the bench for cup game. Spurs supporters called up stating they needed to rest him, given he was there only real centre forward at the club presently. So, despite having only really having Harry Kane, Spurs were still willing to exile Adebayor earlier this season (and still pay him £100k a week).

I'm sure Emmanuel Adebayor would fit in at Palace, says Eagles defender - [Link]

I like Adebayor and think he's a quality striker, but I don't think he's right for us. Nothing to do with his 'reputation' nut more to do with the style of play. We need someone like a Vardy. Someone who will run non stop for 90 minutes, chasing down the defenders and making their own chances. A young Jon Walters would really suit us now. I know they aren't exotic/fashionable players, but until we have wide men that can put the ball into the right areas or the more creative midfielders that can slip a ball through, we need a player like this. Not really sure who there is out there at the moment that would fit our style, but suggestions like Balotelli and Adebayor I think aren't right for us yet, maybe in a few seasons time when like Stoke have this year, we have advanced the style and level of our playing squad.

Judging by Scott Dann's comments this afternoon, I can't help thinking Adebayor may be on the way in. The only reason I can think that a player would offer an opinion on another player in a purely speculative situation is that it's a standard PR trick to pave the way and get everybody onside for an impending announcement. I'm inclined to think this one either is or is just about over the line.

The only thing I'm worried about is how long is it going to take for him to get match fit if his only here until the end of the season it might take him 4 weeks which I think is whats the point of signing him we need him to hit the floor running now and not in 6 weeks time

Any time I have an opinion Syd has already beaten me to it -damn near word for word! Needless to say, i agree Syd.

I've a feeling syd is right I've seen it to many times where there a real chummy kinda hey he's ok message from a player then two days later in they come. Plus with pards saying he can handle him, and good shout willo I was going to make a post for Abel. Was very shaky in the prem but seems to have settled in England and started to work hard, and he's seriously fast if you watch him.

On paper he'd be the best striker we've ever had at selhurst. On paper Edgar David's was the best midfielder we ever had at the club. Ultimately time will tell. Personally, if he's in a good place mentally and buys into the team concept we have, alongside the backing from the fans we have a player on our hands. It's gamble though but one worth taking for a team who have not scored in five games!
