We now appear to be in the situation of the bloke in a nightclub, who has gone along in a group with a couple of girls who are reasonable (Howe, Lampard) and he probably stands a decent chance with. However, he goes off in pursuit of the stunning girls (Nuno, Favre) and spends the night buying them drinks in the hope he can pull them. They have listened to him and realised that whilst he was never that attractive, he's not rich either. They can wait for another night. A bloke with a Mercedes rather than one with a Ford will come along tomorrow night or the one after. It's approaching the end of the night and we are becoming desperate. We are now faced with going back to the girls we came along with who know they ain't even first or second choice and will probably tell us to do one (unless they are equally desperate). However, over in the corner is our ex (Freedman). We went out with her for quite awhile, most of the time she was fat, frumpy and boring. Towards the end of the relationship she lost weight and become sexy but within weeks of this she dumped us for a better offer. How do you know that's not the beer goggles ?

Let's hope I am wrong but all this uncertainty and indecision spells a season full of trouble to me. As a club we knew RH was off so why all this failure????

Agreed on some of the responses towards Allardyce. It's by far not ideal but we need a manager appointed ASAP! Give him 18 months max to handle the transition of players whilst feeling assured with a full season we're kept in the Prem as opposed to appointing someone else that we're clearly not set on, only to sack them before Xmas and get Allardyce then.
Whilst Allardyce is interim manager the board need to take a long hard look at what they want in a manager to drive this club to long-term success and bring the right in and appointed come 1st June 2022 Again all of this is on the basis of not faffing around looking for someone else if it can't be done this weekend. I wouldn't even be opposed to Allardyce and Edin Terzic as Assistant with the view Edin takes over permanently in 2022...takes the pressure of Edin and he gets familiarity to the club rather than being thrown in the deep end At this stage I would be more than happy with Allardyce being offered the job. It might be seen as a step backwards by some but he has a lot of experience and would be more likely to keep us in the league than some of the other potential candidates.

Really should have gone for one of the reasonable girls we came long with. They may not be perfect, but we are certainly not either.

Well it’s all doom, gloom and negativity on here this morning, I think I’ll head over to the Tottenham forum for a laugh.
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

Wouldn't say I would be happy with it but given the situation I think getting in Allardyce now isn't a bad idea. What are we realistically left with ?
