A feeble response, even by your standards. I'm not surprised that you'd rather avoid facts. You've become a really poor poster - you just fire soundbites and hope it sounds credible. You have not provided one fact, and as is always the case when I reply to one of your posts (see climate change yesterday), you have not challenged anything I've said in the slightest. Just deflect and hope no one notices the lack of substance.

They are all out there in the public domain, as you know full well.

Brexit checks - The greatest lie ever? This year it gets a whole lot worse, with some Brexit nasties people had not imagined creeping in.

And all in an election year when an opposition party, headed by a man who has a heritage of wanting to take us back into the EU, is up for election to number 10. The fix is in.

I'm sure a good chunk of the Tory Party would be happy to see Starmer move us back into a position to rejoin. They want to fix a big blip they allowed in their ultimate quest for a European government and less democracy.

Yes, that must be why thousands are fleeing our shores in small boats to escape to the EU.

GB News poll goes disastrously wrong. 92% polled say they want to return to the EU. Even I would concede that is over-optimistic. But it's interesting, do Brexiteers see it as a typical Express tory stunt or are they just p****d off with the whole issue. Probably the latter.

A Labour Think Tank "Labour Together" is proposing that Starmer offer the 5m EU citizens in the UK full citizenship. These folk already have residency rights so what would be the purpose? Well for one thing they cannot vote in general elections but if Labour just made them all British citizens at a stroke of the pen you have 5m potential Labour supporting Pro EU voters. It remains to be seen if this will become official Labour party policy. A nice bit of gerrymandering.

As the House of Lords has very limited responsibilities and almost no power at all it doesn’t appear to me to be worthwhile to create Peers just to get laws passed. They can propose, scrutinise and suggest amendments but the final decisions are taken in the HoC. I would prefer we removed all the hereditary Peers and appointed Life Peers who are acknowledged experts in a variety of fields so they can examine proposed legislation from a practical viewpoint. This is even more important now, without us having direct access to EU expertise.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
