Really succinct but totally accurate description.

I have some guests from the USA here at the moment who are staying in a very respectable and normally quiet local Hotel. After our dinner last night I returned them to the Hotel just before 11 to find the lobby and lounge area taken over by a large group of seriously weird people. They must be local but they were all unfamiliar to me. They looked and behaved in ways that reminded me of what passed for nightclubs in the 60s.

Where they had all crawled out from remains a mystery because I have never seen the like down here before. The men were dressed similarly and many had over long silver hair. They behaved like elderly football hooligans, extremely hyped up and noisy. Their ladies just stood around in embarrassed groups. At 11 they all started to sing "Rule Britannia" followed by "God save the Queen". Now I know they were all tanked up and over excited but it was a really weird sight to behold.

I have no idea if this was a typical Brexit "party" but if it was then I am so glad I wasn't invited to one! Not that I would have gone, even if I wasn't already busy elsewhere.

The prize for “the most ridiculous bitter post” goes to.......

You have never seen weird people in Cornwall? You need to get out more.
Maybe it is time to close this thread and we will then see if WE posts anything Palace related

He makes predictions but if you look at the predictions he's made on this site since he turned up....for example, on Trump over the Mueller report and since on his idea that he could affect 'malleable' minds over Brexit....it's only gone to prove how inaccurate he is.

Some of us predicted Trump winning.
The failure of the Mueller report
The Brexit referendum result.
The election result.

Let's just examine some of the claims about the "inaccuracy of my predictions"!

The effect of the Mueller report has been postponed by the interventions of a seemingly corrupt AJ. Despite all the claims to the contrary it did not "exonerate" him at all. The D o J decided that as a sitting President cannot be prosecuted it must be kicked into the long grass. Many of it's findings have been handed off to other jurisdictions which are immune to Presidential pardon, notably in New York. So the clock is ticking for Trump. Mueller is very far from a failure. Just be patient.

I don't think I was here in 2016!. My comments have all been about the way the result should have been interpreted and handled. As no-one could have accurately foreseen every twist and turn we all rode a roller coaster which could very easily have ended up in another place if Corbyn, and the Labour Party, had done their jobs properly. If anyone wrote down an accurate script for the events of the last 3 years back in 2016 then I haven't seen it, and I want them to select my lottery numbers in the future.

I predicted a large Tory majority at the last election because of Corbyn. I just hoped I was wrong.

Nothing is ever over until it is really over. Brexit isn't "done" at all. It has simply entered a new phase. Those phases will go on far into the future.

Just as Farage never stopped campaigning for us leaving in the face of constant rebuttals, and would not have done so in 2016 if 2.1% of the votes were cast the other way, so people like me won't cease the fight. Victory is often just one more try after a series of defeats and is, always, only ever temporary in a free democratic country like ours.

Things will change again. How and when I cannot predict but that they will, I can.

There is not a smidgen of bitterness involved. It was just weird to see such strange types. It was like seeing that vampires are real when before you knew for sure they were just fictional.

I found it quite amusing as well as being embarrassed for their ladies and other guests.

I saw many more weird people when I lived in Wisbech than I do now in Cornwall. Except during the summer months.

I’m a Brexiter but I found the triumphalism embarrassing. Well, the people I saw on tv were. I wouldn’t want to be around the people I saw. But the remainer mourners were just as embarrassing. embarrassing in their pathetic floppy handed whining and tears rather than the chest thumping brexiters on tv. I suppose it was just like when you’re sober around drunk people.

The time to celebrate and feel relief and advantaged is when we’re watching the latest annoyance or crisis we would have experienced but now won’t, just like not being in the Eurozone and that having serious problems.

Oh my contribution is but an insignificant drop in the ocean. Your gratitude, or blame, needs to be directed at much bigger fish than me.

I am just a little voice of opposing thought in a very small, muddy pond in a corner of SE London which no-one of any real importance even reads.

I use it to learn how people like the majority here think and why. Knowing that helps prepare for when I get the opportunity for debate with more receptive minds than I encounter here.

I will tell you where I got it because it isn't bs at all. It is factual.
I was there to lay a wreath at the memorial to the sinking of the Prince of Wales and Repulse. My father was on the PoW. My visit was in March 2018.

I was hosted at the Terror Club by the O i C of British forces in Singapore who told me exactly what I told you. If you want an argument then have it with him. I didn't count the numbers myself. I took him at his word as a serving British officer. Any repairs are indeed done at the Sembawang dockyard, under contact as it is now privately owned. My understanding is that any such contacts are negotiated from London but that they are a rarity these days. All they now do locally is provide a bunkering service.

I was also given a tour of the dockyard to view where the PoW was berthed prior to leaving on it's fateful final voyage.

There are more Australian personnel there now than British and the Terror Club (formally HMS Terror) is now run by the US forces. I suspect things have changed at bit since you were serving and whilst you have visited your information remains out of date.

Maybe you would like to apologise for your rudeness, but somehow I doubt it.

Sorry it IS bulls***. Your visit to Singapore did not show how things really are. You were shown bits and bobs by your guides to impress ....Maybe...It seems that you always have an excuse to cover every bit of bulls*** you quote.
My knowledge of Singapore is far greater than you think as I too have visited all naval/service areas each time we go out there which is normally every two years. I can assure you that there are more than THREE British personnel roaming around as you can see British sailors and officers moving around in HMS Terror which I know very very well.
I suggest that in future you think seriously about what you post as on these boards there are a lot of people that can call you out on your bulls***.

I suggest you stick to your political party and stop all this rubbish you keep posting.
AS for an apology you must be joking as you your post is as I said Nothing but MORE Bulls***.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Trouble is you needed to do this intensive research before the vote. There is also the fact that many of the arguments put forward here are not entirely serious. Maybe you should have chosen a pond somewhere other than SE London where wind-ups and mockery are the lingua franca.

WE if the OIC of British forces showed you, an outsider, “ everything we have” I would seriously question his ability to sustain that role. Susmik clearly has more knowledge on this subject and to try to say he is out of date and incorrect, is not just highly laughable but also downright insulting. You should really give it a rest and try to admit that you are not always right and people may have more knowledge than you, I know this may be difficult for you to comprehend and accept but that is a FACT
