Everyone deserves tolerance in this situation. Trump included. I can forgive him getting some decisions wrong. What cannot be forgiven is the politicising. The missing point is that it is simply too early to reach any conclusions. When the WHO offered advice I have little doubt that they did so based on the consensus of their expert's conclusions and not with any political motivations at all. Now I might be wrong but this is not the time to try to find out. That comes later. That Trump is encouraging it to be done now is the point. It achieves nothing positive at all. Other than to encourage his "base" and keep them onside in an election year. It has zilch to do with solving the crisis. Trump has changed his stance. He said this on Twitter on Jan 24th:- " China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!" I think you are mixing two things here.

Normal people don't behave as he does. What I hate is the way some people respond to him. My argument is simply that how the WHO has handled this situation is not an issue for now and it most certainly ought not be used as a political football to try to boost anyone's personal objectives. To do so is beyond irresponsible at this time and someone needs to get a handle on the guy that they have allowed to inhabit the most powerful position in the world. I would not be totally surprised to see a constitutional challenge mounted by those around him before too long. Trump is definitely out of control.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

If anyone wants the actual truth about what posters have written about Trump over time, their claims and how that panned out. How balanced or fair they have been on events....it can all be found on the 'bias over Trump' thread. It's far better evidence than any self analysis. However, there is so much mental illness on display there that anyone outside of a mental medical health professional probably is advised not to bother. Edited by Stirlingsays (15 Apr 2020 4.53pm)

Wuhan has now reopened the dispicable food markets and the Australian PM having a go at WHO. I don’t agree with his timing but maybe Trump has a point.

I did hear they were going to reclassify dogs as pets, rather than livestock. So now your Chinese kid can still get a puppy in a market, they just don't come with a side dish anymore.

I wouldn’t mind the mental disorder he suffers from if it meant I made the money he has

Organizations like the WHO, EU, UN, large NGO's, most Quangos, "societies" (e.g. Common Purpose, the Fabien's etc) , most political pressure groups, "hate watch" groups (Hope Not Hate, SPLC etc) all need to be outright destroyed. It's difficult to over estimate the deliberate damage all of these groups have done to western society entirely by design. It's out of control and now the agenda is barely even hidden.

Edited by Stirlingsays (15 Apr 2020 5.30pm) It's a fair point. My point would be more along the lines of why fund them at all anymore? There are loads of countries criticising Trump right now - probably because that stance does well on social media.

Yep, liberalism in both its social and economic forms has advanced the decline of the west since the end of the hegemony of the WW2 generation. We are living in an era where the west's enemies amid clueless and often selfish numbskulls hold court of the dying of its body.
