Like I said Biden will not go after Trump that doesn't stop others but he has enough sense to see that it's bad politics for him to be seen doing it. The Democrats wanted to defeat Trump they done that so do the smart thing and declare victory like George Bush senior did in Iraq and then get the hell out. The alternative is a tar pit, who knows what might float to the surface. There are many republicans who still believe Nixon was innocent and should not have resigned, you are not going to change minds about Trump. Even if the Democrats produce a video of Trump taking a bribe from Putin whilst snorting cocaine and doing the do with a hooker many people would simply not believe it. All you do is keep the hate alive. Trump like Corbyn is yesterday's man, Biden knows his energies are better spent elsewhere. As they often say in the movies "Don't do it Joe he's not worth it." Edited by Badger11 (28 Nov 2020 6.48pm) I agree that he's not worth it and that it's not in Biden's interest to pursue him. My point was the separation of powers means it isn't up to him and nor should it be. It will be up to the Justice Dept and the new AG, who may just have an axe to grind. I wonder if charges will be laid, Biden maintains a distance and then pardons before they are heard "in a spirit of reconciliation and forgiveness". Edited by Wisbech Eagle (28 Nov 2020 11.13pm)

I’m a bit late to this but the republicans are now worried that they’ll lose control of the senate as they’ve been telling their voting base for weeks that the election was rigged, and now people don’t see the point of voting in the run offs. Their own supporters. Couldn’t make this s*** up. ‘GOP chief tells supporters to turn out for crucial vote after her party spent weeks calling elections rigged’

For those continually ridiculing the republicans for their position here is another Tim Pool video on voter turn out projections. It's from an ongoing lawsuit and he also shows how media can mis-frame the discussion.

Republicans usually turn out when it matters though so I would think they still have the edge. If Trump remains in 'fraud mode' though as a last ditch attempt to save his skin, he's not going to worry it is takes down a couple of GOP senators along the way.

Yeah it’s interesting, let’s see where that lawsuit goes - at least he’s being fairly objective there and actually caveating certainly things although I always worry with these things that nuance goes over most peoples heads these days. He’s certainly right about tribalism. However surely if you’re fixing results you’re also fixing turnout projections? It’s not exactly something you’d overlook when planning what would probably be the largest / most significant election fraud ever. If you’re going to all that trouble why leave such obvious loose ends? At least doctor it down a bit to say, 130%. Certainly got to be easier than coordinating all that riggin

Certainly got to be easier than coordinating all that riggin I like Tim Pool, one of those rare independent journalists. Ultimately if it's all handled fairly that's all you can ask for. If one side or the other think there has been underhand tactics then obviously it's going to used to heat up their bases.....Well, to be realistic that's going to happen regardless. Still, tribalism aside, I worry about the time being available to properly tackle these issues however I also agree....for the time being that transitional routines take place. My position has always been that the truth is an underused currency by both parties and is also mostly an irrelevance to them......In some ways the parties are similar to football crowds, overtly biased and willing to celebrate a goal (I suppose pre VAR) for their side even if it's offside. I won't deny that I can be guilty of that....but it's mostly tongue in cheek.

Certainly got to be easier than coordinating all that riggin In this case the affidavit is just opinion and not based on personal knowledge of the matters asserted. The affidavit in question may be yet another 'hope something sticks', but if it goes anywhere then fair enough. A 11/18 affidavit (by the same guy) even lists Minnesota precincts as being in Michigan while it points out their allegedly high vote totals, which doesn't fill you with confidence. "The affidavit made a major mistake. Its data wasn’t actually from Michigan; it was from Minnesota. What’s more, its conclusions about over-votes even in those Minnesota locations aren’t backed up data from the Minnesota secretary of state." - [Link] I suspect the whole point is to relentlessly create doubt, rather than present anything that truly stands up to scrutiny. It distracts from the countless failed court cases and acts by Trump and co of posting fraud claims that they patently know themselves are untrue. As long as there's always something else to latch onto, the show stays on the road.. Edited by BlueJay (29 Nov 2020 1.12am)

This was expected and the case will go to Scotus....at that point I will be interested. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Nov 2020 5.04am)
