Well I would love to know what evidence that is or is he just parroting the project fear doom mongering.

The simple truth is no one knows what is actually going to happen to this country we can only predict and opinions are like noses everyone has one.

The evidence he has seen is probably reading Wissies posts on here, as he is never wrong

He is never right either he is what they call down in Cornwall " The brains of half a pasty".
You will never get another one like him I am afraid.
A proper know it all of the first degree.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Untrue. I get the lottery numbers wrong every week. Although I did win £100 on a scratch card once.

When anyone from Devon comments on Pasties people in Cornwall screw up their noses in mock horror!

Devon people don't even know where the cream goes on a scone!

I used to live in Totnes and work in Plymouth. My brother lives in Newton Abbot so I still visit quite often. So I have an appreciation of the folk in both counties. Strangely enough, although I have eaten many pasties (had one today for my lunch), I have never heard that expression from any of them. Perhaps the writer has though, as it makes more sense that someone would say it in his hearing.

The idea that there is anyone on "the political left" posting here made me laugh out loud.

I see absolutely no-one from the "left" here. I see a few who favoured remaining in the EU but that doesn't mean they are of the "left".

I loath the left just as much as I loath the right. I am a social democrat and I think that the few who remain here taking the fight to the hard right Brexiteer majority who populate this place, all come over as being of that mind.

I'll regard that as an admittance of self delusion and self loathing.

But why? The right are in government now and democratically voted in, unless you would prefure a communist state? You did say your a democrate right?
If we had a hard right party I would agree but right wing politics is doing well for great Britain from all the forecasts.

The coming reshuffle will be a strong indicator of just how far right this government will turn out to be. I could yet be surprised and find that Johnson takes it back to the centre right and is really a "one nation Tory". If that happens and we end up with essentially a soft Brexit, close alignment with the EU on standards and the consequent abandonment of any new US trade deal then I won't be too unhappy.

Right wing politics are not "doing great for Britain" at all. If the Bank of England are contemplating cutting the already low interest rates even further that's a pretty strong indicator that there are problems ahead, despite all the cheerleading that the right wing, Brexit enthusiastic, media are doing.

If the opposite happens and we get an even further right wing government, a no deal Brexit and throw ourselves onto Trump's lap whilst begging for scraps then I see the UK breaking up as a consequence, in a few years time. That's hardly us "doing great" is it?

Interest rate cuts would not be isolated to the UK.
Apart from Venezuela and rhodesia obviously.

Taking economists projections as fact is a bit dubious. How many of these far seeing savants predicted the financial collapse in 2008?
Economics is no more a science than forecasting race results.
