Whilst I agree with the general thrust of your first point, I struggle with the second.

Terry Christian clearly does wish personal harm to befall people who voted in a different way to him. He celebrates that. To try and deny or proclaim some sort of moral relativity with what is a political/economic POV seems plain daft.

LOL. He says he want them and their families to suffer hardship. And how he desires to buy copies of the big issue from them. He wants them to be plunged into financial harm, to see their loved ones hurt by that as well. Is he saying he wants to punch them in the face? Then no. But he seems clear that he wished homelessness on them. That's not nice is it?

Why on earth would you defend such a person in any way? Or are you simply unable to bring your self to condemn a prominent Remainer?

Should somebody like Terry Christian be able to express these views? Absolutely. He is perfectly entitled to do so and long may that continue. But he meant it, 100%.

I appreciate that many on the Remain side believe that you can pledge to say honour the result of a referendum and when you don't like the result tell us you really had your fingers crossed the entire time but surely you cannot be so mypoic in your support for the Remain side that you cannot bring yourself to condemn people for wishing the sort of harm that Christian so clearly does?

Then we must agree to disagree. I just think he was saying t*** over the top things for effect. I think he believes that most Brexiteers are t***s and whilst he might enjoy giving them a verbal bashing it would end there.

I certainly condemn anyone who wishes any harm done to someone else just because they hold opposing views. I just don't think he really does. He is hardly a "prominent remainer" is he? He is just Terry Christian!

Not really but back in the day he was another one of those TV mouthy northern lefty presenters that TV production companies think represents the working class....instead of it being a small part of it.

Exactly. He is a mouthy northerner who uses his television exposure to express his political opinions.
Those opinions are no more or less valid than anyone else's.
He has always been bitter Lefty and is unlikely to change, at least not publicly.
