Sorry to hear you're depressed, Peter. I'm reasonably happy with the business we've done and that we still have Zaha. We're in a better position than before the window opened. We actually spent money this window on Eze BEFORE the Sorloth windfall arose. Still a week to go and whilst it may seem unlikely that anything new will happen (other than our possibly signing Clyne) the club may yet surprise us.

Thank you for your kind words, which unlike your name, are very optimistic, not at all doom laden!

If we need another attacker make it Osayi-Samuel - available for £5 million, much cheaper than Benrahama and younger with great potential.

Why on Earth do you guys go on and one about this Osayi-Samuel when Niclas Eliasson, who is a Benrahma level player from the Championship was available for 2.5 million and may still be available for around 5 million??

Because our scouts don't seem to travel beyond the London orbital motorway and Bristol is too far for them

what's the difference between him and Benrahma in the last 2 years:

Benrahma- 19 goals (but 4 from penalties) and 10 assists in 3950 minutes, so a total of 25 combined from open play in 3950 minutes

Eliasson- 3 goals and 14 assists in 2400 minutes, so 17 combined in 2400 minutes, no penalties

Yes, Eliasson has provided 8 less than Benrahma, but he has also played less minutes. He would have probably gotten to the same numbers as Benrahma in that same amount of time.

Here is a video of Eliasson: [Link]

Swedish but with Brazilian ancestry from his father, good dribbling.

Why does a French top division see this talent and gives him the chance to play in a Top 5 league by paying just 2.5 million and we don't find a good player like Eliasson at this money?

At his age and level now he is a better left footed winger than the high earning Townsend, who was great in his time, but now at 30 years old is on a downhill.

Just pay the people 5 million in the winter for the man. If you weren't intelligent enough to pay 2.5 million for him now....

For 2.5.

They'd sell for double.

Benrahma has apparently agreed terms with West Ham. Really hope we go for Buendia instead.

Would be amazing but if the rumours of 40m+ are true I suspect we have no chance!
