Indeed. Things ain't what they used to be.These days you even get the odd college that gets to call itself a university (or Uni as the youngsters appear to call them.)

Things change

The runner up in the Sunday Times UK University of the Year 2020 only changed from being a College in 2012.

Funnily enough - and this is a real belter - I don't actually expect you to find humour at all, in anything or anyone.

Ooooooh!

Maple is offended.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a great sense of humour.
Sometimes its just painful to be on the receiving end of it.

You seem very sensitive over the subject of education. My comments were made in the very much 'things ain't what they used to be,' vein.

Of course things change when I was a student we had grants and going on to university was the exception rather than the rule for someone who grew up in the arse end of Thornton Heath and was the first in my family to go onto any form of higher education.

My university days were a pleasure I know that is not the case for many now who have to take on jobs as well as study and probably work far harder than I ever did.

Hmm

Two consecutive posts indicating I am sensitive and offended

I am neither

There is nothing sensitive about me pointing out a logical mismatch.

I don’t get offended by humourless ranting either. Just mildly disappointed

To be fair I could never be a teacher. Hats off to anyone who is or has been. I have delivered professional training but that is totalling different to teaching kids.

Anyway . . . Has building the stand started yet?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

God knows, way things are going, in line with CC & TFL/Khunt, it'll be a mega BIKE stand.
