Roy resigned the England job immediately after one of if not the worst displays in our history and having failed to qualify for the knock out stages of the tournament. So even with this revamped team he failed as a manager big time or was it all the players fault?

He was brought in to steady the ship only, this he had achieved with brass knobs on, it is not his fault that the club has failed to attract the correct applicants to take over and achieve what you and I and everyone else wants. Agree and why is that? Any proven manager wants money to spend and a Chairman who does interfere

Liverpool were struggling at the time especially with their American owners and Roy wasn't allowed much time because they require instant returns even if behind the scenes they were having problems, I read somewhere that even one of their older big stars said as much and that Roy was treated unfairly I can find this if you don't believe me, but in hindsight Roy was probably not the right person for them and with the England job he definitely got short changed from his players in that Iceland game, too many just didn't turn up for it and Kane wanted to do the corners because he was the best at it before you mention that crap about him doing them lol, the players failure was also mentioned in the papers at the time and I can also find that if you so desire. Always the players fault TP, never Roy. The buck stops with the manager, always has done and always will.

Like the only time we went out for a world cup in the first round. Without a win, and only picking up a draw against Costa Rica. Fortunately for Roy, the Euro 2016 exit eclipsed the 4 dreadful years before that.

So does Chris Coleman. For some reason, when watching Coleman and Howe as pundits recently I got the feeling they'd both be quiet keen on the Palace job. Purely conjecture, but if Coleman ever was to get the job, I wonder if he'd bring Kit Symonds back with him.

He drinks a lot of Guinness though and is a top bloke at parties so on that basis alone I’ll back him but not convinced about his ability to manage at top level.
