In all seriousness, I have met a good number of qualified people over the years and some of them have been remarkably thick and lacking basic knowledge. It takes all sorts. I would love to have some of that commitment and an eagerness to regurgitate dismally dull textbooks, but I will just have to settle for being retired by 47. Meanwhile, have we started building the stand yet... Tumbleweed...

And the least knowledgable are of course the least thick As far as I can tell, there is no notable movement in the building programme to the outside observer.

Or when Universities were called Polytechnics Indeed. Things ain't what they used to be.These days you even get the odd college that gets to call itself a university (or Uni as the youngsters appear to call them.)

In my day it went A, C, E. So if you got a C then, a couple of years later it looked an awful lot worse. Edited by Mapletree (05 Apr 2021 9.34pm)

Edited by Mapletree (05 Apr 2021 9.34pm) But those of us of a certain age know that in our day all exams and qualifications were much harder. When I went to University very few students were awarded a first (and it was bloody obvious from a very early stage who they would be.) Now it seems the majority get a first and then they all get a Masters to boot.

Well, just maybe teaching has improved.
