That bloke broke in to the conversation first and it shows your bias that you're fine with him doing it and are not fine with people who disagree with him doing it. No one told him he couldn't speak did they? You're blindly ignoring the support the bloke got in the audience and from the other panel members and the fact that no one shut him down. You're still not showing me where the debate is being shot down in the media. I don't know why you're struggling so hard with media. Those audience members aren't the media and nor is Ghosteagle. Ghosteagle is entitled to his opinion whether you agree with it or not and so are you. I genuinely don't know what you mean by you saying I'm playing games or that I'm a 'flat earther' because all of this seems like a distraction from the point I made that you laughed at. I've not called you any derogatory names and I assume 'flat earther' isn't complimentary so can you just stick to the point? What do the media stop the debate on immigration? You've literally supplied a link to a video where people are discussing immigration and three links to newspaper articles discussing immigration. How is the debate being shut down? Edited by EricYoung'sSweatBand (06 Apr 2015 5.20pm)
Heckling happens often on Question Time. However, this guy seemed to be accused of racism by someone in the audience. Then he gets it from the second panelist.....The debate was closed down when the audience member was assumed to be racist....He felt uncomfortable enough to leave anyway...I haven't seen that many times before or since. I think you are perhaps being too literal by saying that I'm suggesting that debate is 'closed down' as in not allowed. I'm not saying that...I'm saying the debate is infected by name calling and by the race card. That makes people uncomfortable in raising immigration unless its affect upon them becomes very significant....Name calling closes down debate and makes people uncomfortable.....That's why it is used. I've already been told to leave the forum by someone attacking my views on immigration in this very thread. This forum is media as it's a device used for communication to the masses. I suppose that's another example. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Apr 2015 5.39pm)

You are inventive with the truth, i'll give you that. You have constantly blamed immigrants so don't even try that one. I'm also happy for people to read these posts, although i'm thinking that most 'commentators' (??? Yes, i'm sure the'll be an editorial in The Times) will have been bored by your ramblings and lies and moved onto other matters.
That's because I don't blame them....Shall I say that again. I don't blame immigrants for doing what is best for them. That is simple human nature. I blame politicians of these policies. I can't be much clearer than that.....But I suppose if you are convinced that I'm a liar there isn't much point continuing to debate with you. It's going around in circles. Yes, your lies just continue go round & round. The fact that you would blame immigrants for the ills of this country just shows how outdated and irrelevant your opinion and point of view are. Seriously SS, we are not being downed by immigration, no-one is fooled by your lies and ancient views. The public have been dripfed with anti immigrant and islamaphobic news 'stories' for years by sections of the media; It's no surprise that people extrapolate what concerns a tiny tiny percentage of immigrants to the whole lot. More recently UKIP have been adding to the narrative with their scare stories. - escalators on the White Cliffs of Dover FFS. How many millions of Bulgarians did they say would be coming to our green and pleasant? If I remember rightly, the figure was so exagerated and absurd, that there would be barely anyone left in Bulgaria once that many had come here!

Nah don't apologise, I'm not offended I'm debating with you and you're not debating back - you're deflecting You literally laughed at me when I said that immigration is discussed all the time and you said that infact discussions are shut down. It simply isn't true, immigration is discussed and has been discussed non-stop for years and years and years and it's a lie to say that it isn't. Now that you're unable to provide examples it's my fault for talking what you said literally. It's a classic UKIP tactic. Say something that has no basis in fact or is offensive and when called out on it, say you didn't mean it. Now this does happen all the time and I will be happy to show you countless examples (after the game of course) Edited by EricYoung'sSweatBand (06 Apr 2015 5.51pm)

Luckily at least 85% of the voting population are not intransigently blinkered to the point of masochism and will not be voting UKIP. The economic fallout and social upheaval and potential unrest from disparity and threat to services from leaving the EU is, frankly, frightening. It is at this point that the UKIPPERS tend to put their fingers in their ears and go 'la,la,la,la' And the really stupid thing, and something that UKIP prefer not to dwell on for obvious reasons, is that we will still have to adhere to EU rules in regard to every single dealing we will have with it. Ergo- they will call the shots. So not only will we be worse off we will now be outsiders. Brilliant thinking and strategy Nigel et al. Edited by Kermit8 (06 Apr 2015 5.59pm)

I don't think I've been deflecting....And I don't agree with your characterizations of course....But I've enjoyed the debate all the same and look forward to plenty more on various issues. As for the game...I'm hoping we 'close down' Man City and make three indisputable points from it. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Apr 2015 5.59pm)

We coped before we joined the common market and we could cope again if we left - now the market has turned into something akin to the Plymouth Brethren with it's rules and regulations. Larger and larger swathes of the voting population are not voting for Labour, Lib Dems, Greens etc either thankfully.

You have posted 'evidence' on here of how a Brexit would harm the UK and the same 'evidence' stated that if the right treaties were negotiated (the same as Norway and the Swiss have the EU) then Britain would see an increase in GDP! You need to back up your faux-wise ponderings with some thought and fact, Michael.
