Yes, I agree, sensible purchases, good loans and keep the players we want and no reason why we cant, given a bit of luck with injuries Maybe temporarily but I’d bet huge that they won’t be getting relegated before us.

They will never get relegated, but season after season without anything to show for it, do you think their glory hunting fans will be able to stomach that? Whereas we are used to not winning anything, my expectations are set low, so any whiff of success is a bonus!

Only one news outlet reporting this, not even skysports nees are reporting anything about this. Even if Wilf came back it's pointless if Arsenal won't pay us what his worth. This story stinks off BS.

Yep it’s BS. Until we agree for him to speak to them he’s still our player. He can create a stir about it but that two bob internet site has ignored how transfers work to post a load of made up rubbish.

Why would Wilf give up his international career (this would surely mean they would not pick him again)? I think playing for IC means a lot to him. Wouldn't any claimed negotiations be carried out by his agent

Wouldn't any claimed negotiations be carried out by his agent Until Palace agree to let him speak to a buying club there will only be discussions on the sly between an agent, maybe the player, and a buying club. It certainly wouldn’t be reported in any reputable news site that a player was talking to a buying club. That is against the rules and only happens in secret.

He knows the score - knows that he won't be sold on the cheap, as it's too important for us. He has only ever shown Loyalty and commitment to Palace. Even when he went to ManU, everyone knew it was his time to try the big time. it ultimately failed for him, and came back (many wouldn't) and stayed loyal. He might have a desire to play for Arsenal - he deserves another shot - but I don't for one minute think that if it falls through it will affect his passion and his desire to make CPFC successful.

From one Badger to another "good post". I have not seen anything from Wilf that suggests he will be anything less than professional. The guy has dragged us across the relegation threshold ever since he came back from Man United. Any player's head would be turned if a big club came in for them. I hope he stays but if he goes for a decent price then I say good luck and thanks for your efforts. In the meantime he is our player and deserve our support until he says or does something otherwise.
