Good heavens. You old git. My dad went to Ashburton but not I. I was sent to the colonies. So you must have witnessed our promotion to Div one in 69 as a teenager. I was still on football cards and replica kits while attending infant school at that point.

Someone always has to mention that. Actually, that was one of the best football days ever. It almost made up for losing the Cup Final. Almost. It was probably our best season and some reward for our achievements in the context of being banned from Europe. Indeed the ZDS win is right up there for me. A great day and I still think of it every time Martin Keown is on the box 😂
