It's just an opinion. If we are very successful. I would like to do it organically. The charm and attraction of the club is that it is largely funded through its fans and its own success. It's our club and not a billionaire play thing. When the money generated by fans stops becoming the basis of a clubs operations, the club dies. By that definition we are dead. The money generated on match days is buttons compared to the TV contract. That is where the money comes from to pay our bloated wage bill.

Whilst we rely on TV money which is a byproduct of the club's and the leagues success. They rely on an individual. But the amount of reliance on TV money is a concern. If supporters aren't the clubs major source of funding their is a risk we will start becoming irrelevant. That problem is magnified by clubs who are reliant on an individual.

Better drop the wage bill significantly then and even run a profit that we can use to build new stands. Er...

Someone always has to mention that. Actually, that was one of the best football days ever. It almost made up for losing the Cup Final. Almost. It was probably our best season and some reward for our achievements in the context of being banned from Europe. Yup. It was a cracker. Great fun on the underground too. Just everyone in good spirits
