His first season I seem to remember we put in more crosses than any other team in the PL, which obviously helped his game, but he also had composed finishing in his locker. He has lost that and I don't remember him ever being a front-post poacher/fox in the box type striker, which seems far more our game style under Roy with cutbacks and low crosses the order of the day. Injuries and some poor performances coupled with his style (which is not about covering lots of ground) and it is hard to see him finding his way again here, and I've been far more patient than most. It does seem he needs to move if he's going to stand any hope of recovering some form, but will any club outside of the PL be willing to cover his wages? At this point I'd put Wickham in ahead of him (if Conor can stay fit). I think one of them will go this window, but I have a feeling it will more likely be Wickham.

It wouldn't surprise me if he goes to another club and finds some form. another manager to impress, another Set of fans to endear himself to.

Bit unfair those stats. They weren't meant to be passes they were his first touch. Particularly enjoyed the one to Zaha in the fifth minute of injury time against Wolves.
