Not really sure you can consider the likes of Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot as being left wing. Just because the parties they rules over started out as communist parties. But if it’s all you’ve got to counter my example of a right wing totalitarian regime killing millions, then go ahead and chuck them in. It’s massively up for debate though. Sure. They considered themselves left wing so let's go with that. Strange how your example is set in stone but alternatives don't count.

No one can argue that the rise to power of both was born in leftish ideology. However they both maintained their power through strident authoritarianism. Thus proving that authoritarianism can arise from both the left and the right and be equally distasteful. No socially responsible person would attempt to defend them. No one is defending anyone. Just saying that The Right doesn't have a monopoly on totalitarianism and extremism goes both ways.

You are off your gourd. Do yourself a favour mate and go back to what ever it was you were doing before, because you will just make a fool of yourself...Again.

The sun, the mail and the likes of you hate liberals and liberalism and see it as the scourge of society. Just as old Adolf did.

No, maybe not. Now you mention it his name might have come up before. Well, I guess there may be a reason for that. Or maybe a few reasons. Perhaps in the future, history lessons will highlight that we didn’t learn from history during this particular period. If that is the case, then the children in class will have every right to ask why they are being taught something that we don’t learn from anyway. Who knows.

The reason is usually someone comparing a traffic warden to him.

What’s the evidence for either of these claims? Radical Islamists appear to be driven by a total belief in an extreme version of their faith. I don’t think, in their minds, they seek to destroy our country. They seek to cleanse it and save it. They, of course must first be resisted and then re-educated. The far right are not so very different. They believe in an extreme ideology which they convinced themselves we need to all adopt if we are to survive. The solution is identical. If trying to talk someone out of having their bollox cut off and grow a pair of tits is illegal, then there is no chance trying to re educate someone that lives by the word of the beano

So you think that the hundreds of people on the watch list is not evidence? You descend to such a ridiculous level at times that I'm just not prepared to follow. You claimed there is a plot to destroy our country. I asked for the evidence to justify such a claim and you haven’t provided any. That hundreds of people are being watched is not evidence of a plot. It’s evidence that hundreds of people are considered necessary of needing to be watched. Nobody suggests that radicalised religious extremists are not a threat to us. They are and they, and their ideology, need to be dealt with. That though is not what you claimed.
