To any one In 2019 outside the political nonsense childish name calling game that many indulge in two names stood out as being unsuitable as potential prime minister messrs Corbyn and Johnson. Lies and any other blame attached to Johnson, pale when measured against the greater damage he did to the conservative party when he kicked out people like Dominic Grieve, David Gauk (sp) 2022...Liz Truss! " forgive them father for they do know what they are doing" Truly another dreadful Whitehall farce

From The Mail On Sunday : "Liz Truss has beaten Rishi Sunak in a Mail on Sunday Tory leadership poll. But the poll suggests both would be defeated by Boris Johnson if he was on the ballot. The Deltapoll survey found that 26 per cent of people who voted Conservative at the 2019 General Election think Ms Truss would make the best Prime Minister, followed by Mr Sunak on 24 per cent. However, the departing Mr Johnson is backed by 33 per cent. Retaining the support of Tory voters from 2019, when he won an 80-seat majority, is the central task of party strategists. Mr Johnson also comes top when Tory voters are asked which candidate would perform best against Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, with 29 per cent. Ms Truss is on 26 per cent, Mr Sunak on 18 per cent."

In common with previous political coronations the winner will duly receive a begging letter from yours truly. I am pretty sure I will be sending it to Truss. I have never has much success with them I think I will edit the bit about not being able to afford a CPFC season ticket maybe it is that, although I can't see why.

An unfortunate image has come into my head of Willo spilling his beans over a photo of Liz Truss.
