So the back end of 2023 will be halfway through the 23/24 season, and you think it'll be ready in about 8 months for the start of the 24/25 season. OK. Edited by akiisalegend (21 Oct 2022 9.59pm)

Over the last 30 or so years, I have quoted for the supply of specialist building materials for several stadiums including Wembley, Tottenham, Fulham, Twickenham (refurb) and the mighty Northampton Town (Sixfields), and have been awarded the contract for all of those except Fulham. I would generally expect to see an enquiry either from the architect or main contractor at least 2 years before any ground is broken. I've seen absolutely nothing regarding Selhurst Park. That may well be because we've been overlooked, but I'm sure I would have heard about it if any tenders were floating about the industry. I read today the Parish said that construction drawings are yet to be produced, and that a main contractor is yet to be appointed. I'd be surprised if building starts before 2025. It'll take about 2 years to complete meaning 2027 at the earliest, and that's if they can get the residents out of Wooderson Close, Sainsburys play ball, nobody finds a lesser crested newt scampering across the car park, or they unearth a pristine Roman villa whilst digging.

We have had some pricing enquiries for this, not formal tenders though.

Little known historical fact. They actually built the great pyramids of Giza faster than a one stand refurb of Selhurst Park.
