My thoughts exactly, by far his best defensive display this season. Earlier he has cost us a few goals but yesterday he was massive defensivly.

He put the ball in his own net!!!

JA had a great game. In that position, it could happen to anybody.

But it didn’t, it happened to him. He has cost us at least 6 points this season by poor play or as you would say poor luck. In games of fine margins the top players make very few mistakes. He makes too many but I do understand his strengths. Do they outweigh his weaknesses at present though?

Andersen had his best game for us as did Butland, I’d be tempted to give him a run of games now.

Schlupp try’s his best and his attitude is fantastic but he’s definitely a square peg in a round hole at the moment.

Still not convinced about Mateta or Mitchell at this level but the occasional signs are there for some optimism.

Poor performance and outplayed for large parts of it. Lucky to get a point taking into account the overall performance however also blummin annoying to concede a late (own goal) equaliser that cost us yet another win and another two valuable points! How many points have we dropped this season from a winning position?!?

On MOTD/2 they pointed out that i think it was Newcastle that have dropped the most points(14) from a winning position, we have dropped 10, so 5 games where we have led & then gone on to draw.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

There was a Brighton player right behind him, who, if Andersen hadn't intervened, would have had the simplest of tap-ins.

So did they credit the goal to that Brighton player?

Or did Andersen have a “great game” in which he scored an own goal?

The ball barely left our half for the larger proportion of the match and there was a consensus that the two centre backs and goalkeeper were the only three players that turned up.

Didn't you notice? No, the Brighton player wan't credited with the goal because he didn't score it.

And again if you didn't notice, I never said Andersen had a great game.

What you clearly noticed was that Andersen scored an own goal. Well spotted.

I reckon it must be 12 as by my reckoning we’ve been in a winning position in six games where we’ve gone on to draw;
Brighton (Home)
Arsenal (Away)
Newcastle (Home)
Burnley (Away)
Southampton (Home)
Brighton (Away)

And we’ve picked up 4 points from a losing position where in four games we’ve been behind and gone on to get a draw;
West Ham (Away)
Leicester (Home)
Burnley (Away)
Southampton (Home)

Jamie Carragher thought that Andersen had a great game and I think that he knows a thing or two about defending
