This has nothing to do with Windrush and shame on those who are equating the two. Windrush was about decent people who had settled here legally and due to a bureaucratic foul-up had no documentation to confirm that. As far as I am aware none of these criminals are UK citizens and there lawyers are not even claiming they are.

It's an insult to the Windrush generation.

I don't have this sense that I owe something to the 'windrush generation'.....Bringing in the level of immigration they did after WW2 was a huge...huge mistake that has been disastrous....as Powell later admitted...they expected them to go home.... and it was an immigration policy decision that no one other than the politicians and business class asked for.

However, I will say that the two issues are a conflation.

Unbearably precious.

If you want to salute Enoch Powell, salute him. No one is stopping anyone. If people wish to call out those saluting him as bellends, they can do do that. And be held to be bellends right back by those who care to.

That it's been said and referred to is clear evidence that censorship is not applicable here.

If a view is unpopular and unpallatable, then it should be expected for a reaction in keeping to be aired by those disagreeing. By the many, if so. And that reaction is just as free to be countered.

Spare us the persecution complex. It's lame, tired, tiresome, and utterly juvenile.

Suck it up buttercup. (That's how this sort of thing is done, isn't it?)

Anyone who cannot draw a red line between the almost cartoonish levels of evil now in this country and mass immigration from the 3rd world is both fooling themselves and putting others in harms way.

Bad day?

I'd quickly wipe your keyboard dry, lest it shorts itself.

(I had in mind dribbled rabid mouth-froth but, on reflection, it applies equally for the blood from frenzied angry typing wounds and/or wild fury-w*** spunky overshooting, so whatever works.)

I'll happily call out those calling supporters of Powell bellends as bellends themselves, pillocks, idiots and numpties of the highest order.

He was correct in his predictions and they are fools or just don't care that he was right.....for whatever reason.

However, I agree with you that they have a right to disclose their failings on here.....in the spirit of free speech.

So this countering then....it isn't really a countering is it.....just a creative insult.

Don't get me wrong, I applaud creative insults but it's all desert and no dinner.

Well spotted dick.

(I don't actually mean that one. Simply irrisistable though. Can be taken as a question if that sweetens the taste.)

Some of my most enjoyable scoffing has been dessert only. When the main course is so much flaming tripe, I much prefer a couple of servings of something sweeter. There's plenty of crackers round here if you'd rather though.

Ay thang yew. I'll be here all (very) weak. (It was either this or something about you seeming to be helplessly drawn to the inhospitable, excessively dry and unforgiving.)

Whoever wins the culture war and whatever lies beyond there will certainly be a post cynical world and I doubt it will go well for people with your attitude.
