We can leave with no deal and trade on WTO terms....around 90 percent of all our businesses don't even trade with the EU. Stewart is a defeatist and in the wrong party.

Rory Stewart was responding to the machismo rhetoric of "I can deliver the impossible, this is a great country" blah blah. It is a great country but that doesn't help you renegotiate the WA or solve the backstop.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

The remainers know that and that's why their own strategy has been to weaken the government's negotiating hand. Haven't we gone around this circle enough Mainey old boy? As for 'machismo' not getting you deals....Errrr...Mexico just folded to Trump on illegals as did the EU fold to Trump as soon as he threatened them....that old drunk of the commission was over to Washington signing on the dotted line quicker than you could pour his next double. I'll tell you what doesn't get you a deal....being an appeaser as May found out....Stewart would be another failure. The UK is the third and has been the second highest EU net contributor....and May has been deeply pathetic representing that power.

Still scratching my head as to how fantasist candidates are going to find the time to achieve a deal given duration of leadership contest followed by lengthy summer recess before Party Conference season kicks in. Four weeks or so left to negotiate with EU who have said that they are not set to back down by way of renegotiation.

This is what these daft Remainers and pant wetters never seem to grasp.

Y'know what, a part of me is quite looking forward to the EU refusing to budge and us actually having to leave without a deal and you daft hardline Brexit b*stards realising just exactly what that entails and the immediate knock on effects.

Agreed; I find it staggering that people still believe there is a better deal to come, and the fact the majority of the leadership candidates are campaigning on this premise is even more ridiculous - when will reality finally hit home?

It is very much like watching a car-crash in slow motion Something, that hasn't been mentioned recently, is that the Conservatives are in Government with the DUP. The Tories are 5hlt-scared of this, and want to avoid a GE at all costs. And they actually fear a major opposition led by Corbyn and Abbot ? The situation is far funnier than anything "Yes Prime Minister" aired. This is political farce on live-stream
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Rory has gone the rest have another round of votes tomorrow morning. Javid looks like the next to fall he was 2nd bottom. I think Boris got 146 votes an increase of 20. Correction 143 points. LBC seem to think that Gove is under threat as some Boris voters will switch support Javid to get rid of him. We shall see. No merchant shipping to enter or exit. the French will last 20 minutes before they surrender and sign up to a new agreement. No deal Brexit ? good. bring it on you surrender-monkeys.
