Still think a lot of our problem stem from a lack of pace and creativity in midfield. Macca, Schlupp and Luka are all too similar - great players, but all too ponderous. Nor am I convinced that Meyer is the answer - looked pretty lightweight against Burnley last week, but appreciate he may need more game time. It grieves me to say it, but Brighton had our number today and took full advantage of two defensive mistakes. I'll forgive Tomkins, as he is usually excellent, but you knew exactly what Knockheart was going to do and PVA got nowhere near close enough to close him down

ive seen so many dickhead knee-jerk reactions thisarvo its unreal, not just on here but on twitter aswell. guys, grow up...get a grip and accept things how they are. we simply dont win games when teams set up deep and allow us no space in behind...its not like its the 1st time its happened this season, not even the 10th time its happened this season. losing to brighton pisses us all off however, we are still in a strong position to stay up, and are above brighton in the table.

You are missing the point being made. It doesnt matter who to.

Agree that Roy should not be kicked into touch but given a chance. However isn't that the problem. We seem to be setting up in every home game with same formation ? Why not play a long ball game against certain opposition ? If it doesn't work shift the personnel with subs. 1 oppo centre forward, try 3 at the back ? 2 centre forwards ? Attacking midfielder ? Getting wins away on the counter attack, play that team away. Any player within the squad who sulks because he doesn't play every week due to the oppo sling out. Edited by Booted Eagle (09 Mar 2019 8.41pm) essentially i agree with your notion...however, how many other clubs do that? and the ones that do, do that have squad depth we could only dream of. lets face facts, 99% of footballers are thick as f*** and the reason they need repetative training every day is to drill what they need to do into their brain...you set up the best way of getting the seasons goal into your squad and maybe make small changes now & then when needed. however, they are good at playing football. but they cant just play 3 of 4 different tactics fluently against the best players in the world off the cuff. we are trying to do, the best we can with our squad. last few weeks have been peaks, today was a trough. i will re-iterate my view...we are playing the best football over the last 18 months that i can remember...all we are missing is proper end product, and we cant afford the players needed for that. thats why we loan them like with michi...but you still get threads on here from people moaning who dont understand this fact. unreal.
