Bingo.

It’s not good enough.

Last season it was a lack of strikers and a dodgy keeper.

Not really many excuses for home results this year. Roy is experienced enough to sort this out but he is unwilling or unable to do so. It’s not about losing to Brighton it is countless home games where we roll over and have our bellies tickled.

We should not be anywhere near this bad at home, second only to Huddersfield.

Roy deserves credit for our away form but he carries the can for our woeful home form. We have no creativity in the midfield and we wonder why we can’t break teams down.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I think this is because RH plays 3 defensve mids. It's in their DNA to think first and foremost about that side of their game. Playing 3 def mids at home sends out a negative message and isn't conducive to attacking play, hence our woeful home form. Not knocking any of the players, they are picked and told the game plan by RH.

It is not solely the manager's fault. Players keep passing astray (MacArthur), slow slow build up and opposition done their lesson and took us out with fighting spirit and guts!
We lacked everything and that against our main rival - in a game won would have taken us out of relegation battle as well.

Just about finally got over yesterday..!!

Look IMO - we ain't going down - we probably need another 5 points, with Huddersfield at home up next in the League, win that, will leave us needing 2 more points from the last 7 games.

But yesterday was so galling, to me we set up like - we just need to nick 3 points from this and we're safe and we played like that..!!

What I mean by that is that we didn't go out to make it happen - we were just too conservative in terms of selection and the way we played.

As many have said why the need for 3 defensive midfielders against a team with such a poor away record - up to yesterday.

Look I'm no Roy Hodgson but surely yesterday was the time to play Milo, Kouyate and Meyer?

Must admit the conditions didn't help us - they were a real leveller and if you are playing 10 men behind the ball like Brighton did made it all the more difficult.

But Roy is an experienced Manager he should be able to overcome that - then beyond that man for man we are miles better than Brighton so the team should be able to overcome that.

Just so frustrating - there is no way with the squad we have we should be struggling like this.

But it's Palace - they always put us through it..!!

Burnley have just lost - the only result to go our way all weekend..!!

Onto the Quarter Final and beating Watford next week.

Then a win against Huddersfield the following week should see us pretty much safe - I really can't see Cardiff getting to 36 points - despite there win yesterday.

Then I guess all good with the world - but it really shouldn't be this difficult..!!

Yesterday was a bad day we will mostly likely survive another year. But you know folks this has been my normal experince of being a Palace fan. It ain't easy being Palace but Palace is what we are.

Midfield needs sorting out. JMac works hard but like Cabaye cannot finish a full 90 mins. Kouyate is 2 years younger and may well be his successor. Luka is solid for a good few seasons. Meyer is a bit of a quandary and he might go the same way as Joniesta and Campana. If we do need to change him, a supplying attacking midfielder with good dead ball technique is required and the management is comfortable in accommodating him. A cheaper version of Eriksen would be ideal, if he is out there. This would fill a number of holes, attacks, free kicks and corners. These would all hope to get the number of goals up, home and away. Cannot emphasise the dead ball need enough. Remember attending a match at Selhurst against Forest yonks ago and Psycho hit 2 beautiful free kicks in for a 2-2 draw for them. He also was a strong defender. One of them is no.6 on this video and there looks like another against us in another match :

Completely agree with this. I was so frustrated with our performance and the result on Saturday but then I remembered who we are.

We are Palace and we invariably don’t do what we all want and expect... we do it the hard way and we savour the moment when we surprise ourselves with the unexpected. That’s why we love this club!

I really wish we could take a decent corner. We get so excited and applaud when we win a corner, really? I moan coz I wonder if we can hit it past the first defender. The low fizzing corners invariably get headed like a bullet away out of the danger zone and then the opposition push out and opportunity lost. Loft one up with a bit of height and less speed and the ball might even stay in the box for at least the chance of a 2nd effort?

Palace were always dangerous at corners, now we cannot make a decent contest. Rant over

Last year, we had no bench at all. The options were F-ing Lee, and that's it. This year, our roster is so much better, including Batshuyahi. And we still can't beat anyone at home. We can't score a goal at home. We're almost worst in the league at home, and we're battling a horrible Cardiff team for relegation after 30 games.

At what do you make the manager accountable? I'm a fan of Roy, but this season has been a total sh-t show, even though our roster is the best of the past 5 years.

Our roster is better than 33 points from 30 games. I think we could take any other PL manager and get the same or better results than that.
