There’s Benteke again. Nowhere near where he should be. PVA there instead.

Pretty laughable comment. He’s totally unmarked and available to pass too. It was also the same in the first half when Mcarthur could have squared it to him for an open goal but chose to shoot.

Its embarrassing and I for one think its a mistake to just say "hey ho these things happen". Roy post game basically said he doesnt care about this miss because we were playing well.

Perhaps therein lies the issue, the players are not getting the bollocking necessary for that kind of effort.

I have Brian Clough ringing in my ears "You want shooting for missing the target from there" etc.

Look at the image Rudi posted, its a f*cking disgrace to not get a goal from there.

We seem to be on a good run of comparisons here because somebody here just compared Jimmy Mac to Aguero.

Augero missed a sitter yesterday......THEN he got a hat trick because he is a deadly clinical finisher.

Macarthur and some of our other players miss the sitters then dont get the hat trick.

Burnley game springs to mind, 30 odd attampts at goal and we score from a cross and a worldie.

I dont get the sense Roy thinks we have a problem here and that might be the biggest problem of all.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Agreed. There's only so many times you can be unlucky. We've got a serious problem that need sorting

Enter Batshuayi.

No one on this site has the remotest idea what's said in the privacy of the dressing room or at the training ground. Roy doesn't slate his players in public and most managers, except perhaps Mourinhno, adopt the same approach.

The bollocking would involve getting dropped.

I don't think it was a shot - it was neither one thing nor another. I've an idea that, whatever it was, it went out for a throw. But I can't be sure of that, as I was too busy burying my head in my hands.

Ok but Benteke should be in the position that PVA is in. Instead a left back is in prime position, which tells a lot. You could argue Benteke should also be the one who gets into these goal scoring chances but he doesn’t do that either. Just stands rooted to the spot.

Did you see the 2nd half one when he chested the ball down to someone but 3-4 or more yards away, only for the defender to hack it clear? Benteke then puts both arms in front of him to gesture the chance he made for his teammate. Well it would’ve been a chance if it was in training versus no defence.

I think it was Charlie Nicholas who said recently that he didn't think that Batshuayi is a natural finisher.

Well if the assist off the crossbar against Fulham is anything to go by, I hope he's wrong.

It didn’t hit the crossbar, keeper saved it

Other post this time though!

Against Watford at 1-1. Fluffed a simple tap in at the far post.
