Let him do that with others. I don't wish to engage him and hence everytime he posts to me I'll ask him not to. This surprises me. When I point out the overbearing approach of others on this site and how they wither people to get a hard on you label me as some kind of whimp. Nowadays I find you respectful but you still give support to some nasty keyboard warrioring. So shall I now expect you to call out all behaviour on the HOL where the prime intention is to wind up and belittle?

I've ascertained that we have an individual abusing free speech to turn threads into continual long insult threads. Sure it's ok three, four, five times....but continual? It's just feeding a troll who isn't interested in real debate. Now I could continue to engage him. However, do I wish to continually ruin threads with selfish arguments with the same bitter clown? No, not particularly. However going back to that is a tempting option. Now you say I've been respectful lately.....well, I wouldn't say that specifically. It's more that if someone makes it plain that they don't want any knockabout then that's fair enough. However, I continue with DanH for example because he does the same. I don't look to censor opinions that I don't like and I've heard that from many from the left on this forum. So unlike you I'm not opposed to trolling. However I've always said that if you didn't wish to participate you could ask the individual to stop engaging you and if they continued that then that's a form of harassment. You have always had this option and I've never seen you use it. It's been used in the past and I've supported it. I could also stop posting but I've decided not to do that for this individual. Now I've asked this guy to stop posting to me several times. He refuses to because I think he has an agenda and is bitter. When someone reaches a certain level of neurotic then what's the point. Despite him crying about his free speech I haven't put in a complaint and I'm going to heed advice and continue to ignore him. However, if he continues to post directly to me after expressly being asked to stop several times who knows. What we need is a block option.

Except Tommy Robinson is moderately left wing. He’s labelled far right because he is an “islamaphope” I.e. someone who thinks a regressive, oppressive and totalitarian ideology is a bad thing. On your basic point I agree though although there are many, many more left wing thugs than right wing these days. Edited by W12 (06 Jan 2019 7.18am)
