Just like supporting the team it was a roller coaster thread. You had everything in there, blind optimism, fear hope more fear hopeless predictions and finally great joy.

If you've never seen Fever Pitch check out the scene where Colin Firth is watching Arsenal against Liverpool when the gunner need 2 goals to win the title. It is well written and sums up what a fan should be about hope and despair all within seconds.

As they say failure I can handle its the hope that kills you.

Every coach in the world should watch that game and admire how disciplined our defensive shape was. An absolute masterclass by Roy and brilliant by the players to stay focused. Brilliant

that side with Andros and AWB was absolutely immense, 20 players wouldn't have found space there. Andros's work rate was f***ing insane

Great team display.
Up there with the likes of the cup run that took us to the semi final when we were a third division team under Malcolm Allison.
Everybody played well, and it was deserved even though I was biting my nails in the end.
Does Roy change it for Cardiff?
Personally I would find a place for Kouyate because of Cardiff’s physicality and strength in the air, but who do you leave out?

I don’t think he or any keeper could’ve got to that. He either judged it as that, gave up, or didn’t fancy breaking his collar bone against the post trying his best to save it but whatever it was, he wasn’t going to save it. I’d rather be stayed fit as well. Not sure if De Bruyne meant it or not. Maybe half meant it/half meant a dangerous cross planted at the far post/keeper, but it was so perfect it wasn’t going to be saved so thankfully not enough to influence the result.

When a ball is delivered from that position, is in the air for that length of time, and goes over the keeper's head and in to the far corner of the net there will be those who will opine that the goalkeeper should have done better.

I happen to believe that if that had happened to Hennessey during that period when he was not at his best, he would have received an even greater level of criticism. The opprobrium would have been quite severe.

Quite right Willow he should have at least made an effort as Hennessey did at Watford from a similar fluke shot cum cross. also people say his distribution is good but I beg to differ. Watch the highlights on the official site and you will see for yourselves.

His performance itself was no better or worse than wayne.
The difference could be physcological on the defence.
They just might trust him more.
When did you last see schlup push forward with pva like yesterday.
Against arguably the best team in world football.
No logic unless they were so comfortable with whats behind them.

You look at that performance yesterday and wonder how on earth virtually the same group of players played so poorly at the Amex.

Anyway, that smile has been on my face for nearly 24 hours now....congratulations to Roy, Ray and the players - magnificent.
