Without starting an argument, do you honestly think it's a coincidence that it's meyer taking the photo? Also looks like Max is in the photo.

A moment of madness that Wayne will just have to deal with and aim to push behind him.It also shows how even an attempt at frivolity could have dire consequences given the power of social media.

We are living in different times where any idea of joke offends somebody who has an immediate opinion.

At worst, Wayne was only parodying/ mirroring John Cleese in the Fawlty Towers sketch. The FA is making a total fool of itself. Who does it think it is - the Gestapo? Edited by merganser (24 Jan 2019 4.12pm)

Absolutely ludicrous,no way was Wayne doing a Nazi salute or an impression of one.It was just a moment caught in time,he has nothing to own up to.

Could never happen Look, if you ask someone to hurry up and take a photo, do you do it in such a way as to make yourself look stupid when your request is acted on and the photo is taken, freezing you in time? When someone is taking a photos, generally people will look at the camera and smile or something like that. If you were in that situation, and you wanted the photo to be taken quicker, and were so so annoyed about that, that you actually needed to act on it (instead of sitting any waiting, perhaps smiling for the birdie, like everyone else) would you raise your arm like that and put your hand over your mouth in that way? The reason its hard to accept his version is..........its hard to accept his version. No one else seemed to be having a concern with how long it took the guy taking the photo to take it. One way to resolve this would be to ask the other guys in the picture about the so called delay etc. Is this as serious as first degree murder, no it isnt. Unfortunately in this day and age given some other incidents in football this is a likely outcome for any player caught in such a pose.

These commissions are chaired by a QC and there's legal representation on both sides. The club would have surely advised WH to tell the truth, Roy has said he believes WH's explanation. To be found to be lying only makes things worse, the ban starts at 5 games if found guilty, plus financial penalty.
