Hope I'm wrong but wasn't that Wilf's 5th. caution this season. Is he suspended for our next match?

Did he? That's the opposite to what the Tarquins are saying:

You know a referee is hopeless when you’re even bemused by decisions Watford didn’t get. Had no nerve, authority or conviction at any point in proceedings. Slowed down the game multiple times for not a lot and ultimately bottled it when it mattered most.

Completely agree with you there, ref took an age with nothing challenges early in the game, wanting to talk to everyone. He may have had good points to say but it smacked of having a lack of authority and the players were all over it from then on. Seems like players today smell fear on a ref like sharks, blood in water. At no point in the game did it look like the ref had control or authority.

Have to agree with commentators that Tomkins & Sakho were superb today. Tomkins gets my vote for POTY.

Tomkins played really well. Hennessey made a good reflex save from Ward. Sakho did well. Apart from them we were well below average.

Not the end of the world considering they battered us in the first half could have nicked it. One more point should do it. I think 36 will be enough.

Absolutely gutted Ward didn't get the second yellow if the result would of been the same.

Now we have another game where Roy refuses to change anything even though clearly we need Bissaka back and Townsend on the wing with a striker back.

I don't know. Roy has been shown to be ruthless when people play badly. See Speroni replacing Wayne, Sorloth replacing Bentenke, Schlupp for PvA, etc. I would say he's the first manager for a long time that is willing to change things, the thing is he hasn't had a lot of choice. He does still seem reluctant to make in game changes though. I too hope he brings Wan Bissaka back next week though, as Ward is far too slow these days and he can't always make brilliant last ditch tackles.

Anyway, we were pretty rubbish going forward bar about 15 minutes in the second half. We do seem to struggle when teams are more aggressive, so it would be good to bring in someone a bit tougher for next season if we stay up. Maybe that Amadou lad from France?

MOTM was Sakho for me, or maybe Tomkins.

Must admit when he made that tackle af the end, it did cross my mind that it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen if he was sent off. Can't believe he'll play bexg week after that performance, bit with roy you never know.

That was tough a great point today. Although we were sloppy with our passing today Watford were on us all the way through and never gave us a moments rest. That was a well earned point. COYP
