This post has been merged from a topic called 'nightmare 20mins ' by Midlands Eagle Calm down. To get anything out of the top 6 we need to play out of outlet skins and hope they have an off day, neither came to pass today. It happens. We have got another game out of the way, against one of the top sides, plenty more points to play for.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'nightmare 20mins ' by Midlands Eagle Yes. I would be worried if I was Brighton - they have Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd in their last four games. The fixtures seem to be smiling on us, we have some of the mid table clubs in April - like Watford and Leicester, by then they will hopefully gbe getting ready for the beach. If we need results by then then we will get them. Reasons to be cheerful!!

Well, it had to happen eventually, at least it was one of the top teams and not someone below us. We put up a decent fight second half. I think Roy was very slow in changing things, some of the blame has to lie with him. West Ham next, we can do them easy. He may have been slow to change things for the same reason there were no subs v Burnley. Our injury ravaged squad means the bench is either not good enough; or not match fit and only there out of desperation.

The good news, if you can call it that, is Palace is likely to have top billing on MOTD tonight....

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'nightmare 20mins ' by Midlands Eagle I think if we had gotten in a couple of early crunching tackles, they may have been a little more hesitant in their running through us, or not. Either way, like someone said, we gave them too much respect, but they were very crisp and energetic those first 20, and we certainly were not.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'nightmare 20mins ' by Midlands Eagle Absolutely no answer to Arsenal’s movement today. Literally chasing shadows. Miracle we got away with only 4. And how the fcuk does Arsenal’s stadium roof not cover the first few rows of seats! Bloody soaked!!

on a brighter note, i thought PVA had a great game. I had been wondering a couple games back why he gets to wear a palace shirt. But today i felt he was very solid, and put in a killer cross early on that someone really should have gotten on the end of.

A 22 minute nightmare, true - but we won the last 78 minutes 1-0. :-) More like they won the game in 22 mins and didn’t need to do anything else so just sat there and all we could do was score one goal. Arsenal are a top team and if we lose concentration against a team like that we will get duffed. That’s it move on to next game.

I've always said he's a good fit for Palace, I'm not sure why really, he just seems a very Palace player, annoying that it's taken him so long to find his form but I reckon he's going to come good for us.
