All Boris said was that global warming will be solved, Islamic State defeated, that Brexit will be a success, but he offered no actual explanations as to how the Tories would do it. If you're saying that stuff you are really under an obligation to say how. Johnson didn’t. Instead all he seemed to offer was wishful thinking.

He also said little about Foreign Policy (he's the foreign secretary btw).

His comments about cutting taxes and raising public sector wages show he has as much understanding of economics either theoretically or empirically as a watermelon.

Vapid grandstanding.

Coming from a Labourite that is hilarious.
The entire Labour campaign was a tell them what they want to hear fantasy.
When Tories try to be honest about stuff like the NHS they are jumped upon by nobby lefties who are only interested in political gain.

I'll see what the right of centre newsnight made of it later.

No highlights from the speech you can just tickle me with?

So, May has formally invited the Scots to 'discuss' Brexit. Possibly a smart move by May, perhaps to try and get a few SNP MP's on side for driving through those crucial Brexit votes?

Looking increasingly likely that May will still be PM come the end of the week (albeit with a few more knives shoved in her back). All Cabinet discipline has gone, mind, but no one wants to be the first to fire the starting pistol on a leadership challenge.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Did it make you want to put his head on a stick?

So, it's OK for people to sing songs like that if they are over a certain age?

So can we excuse people for similar transgressions based on age?

For being over 50? What about for being under 21?

From the man who calls people racists at the slightest opportunity.

Hypocrisy alert.

Don't go away angry...just go away.

Tory conference like a North Korean rally says Rees -pro life pro abortion pills -Mogg.

No wonder the hall was half empty

It's funny as what Mogg wants sounds exactly like how the Labour conference was.
