No points and no goals from four league matches, half a dozen pardewed players, AWOL in the transfer window and fights with Board members every Monday at eleven? It's hard to see how they would have done worse.

Been a tricky couple of years but we have...wait for this...NEVER IN OUR ENTIRE HISTORY SUSTAINED TOP LEVEL STATUS THIS LONG. So aside from whether it's Parish in charge or not, what does that tell you about what it's like for our club to remain at the top level? Why does defining something as a mistake mean that an alternative would definitely achieve a better result? Maybe all the available choices are mistakes? Maybe the actual choices you are calling mistakes actually end up giving us the best possible outcome? What if the best possible outcome is still not "good enough" for some people? It's so odd to see what is thankfully a minority so certain that their alternative opinion (not that it's always offered for scruitny) would achieve better results. When you consider relegation will cost those in charge north of £80million, a large amount of the rubbish being thrown about is beyond nonsensical. I'm not sure what I think about some aspects of what has been going on, I don't think it's helpful to put each other in groups able label each other "lovers" or "haters of anything. You end up having to sound most of a debate defending an assumed point of view that you never had in the first place. Top POST Hambo and another one who listened and understood what SP was saying. A lot of posters have read what he has said in the wrong way and need to listen to the whole thing again and get it in the right context then perhaps a lot of vile things being said in this thread would then cease!!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

In my youth I had an old banger. One of my mates used to continually take the pi$$ out of it until one day I asked him what he drove. He didn't have a car. My point is, Campbell may not be Aguero but considering we don't have a back up striker he is better than nothing. Campbell gave his all for the club every time he played, ran the channels, did the dirty work and in the modern world if a striker doesn't score he is considered cr*p. Compare Campbell not scoring to Benteke not scoring and I'd go for Campbell's effort every time because he worked for the team. Yes, he isn't a great player but credit where it's due, he has a full England cap to his name and he came through the Manchester United academy, a player Fergie didn't want to let go on a free. #JustSaying

I do not think you have read all of this thread as if you had you would know what I meant about the "vile" things being said about SP. (maybe re-word it to NASTY things) He just did not deserve it in my opinion and also he did have the guts to admit to his mistakes and come on and speak to us and explain a few things which I might add other chairman would not have done so.
