I think everyone appreciates it take time to adapt to a new system but it's not working, you can see the players don't like it and aren't comfortable. This inevitably will lead to discontent amongst players and fans and doesn't bode well for the season. We need to get a influential player in, SAKHO fits the mould and raises the the belief of everyone. If we do get him, make him captain. Puncheon just is t good enough and looks seriously out of his depth.

Waiting for train home.
Like Huddersfield, Swansea won't have an easier win. Looked happy with 0-0 and we still let them in. Second half better but they just let us have it.

I will be shocked if it's still 5 at the back after international break, and I expect the team to be built round Cabaye. 5 at the moment gives us nothing but a superfluous CB.

It's weird, but as someone said earlier, FDB is flexible enough to change tactics when it starts going wrong but he just can't seem to see that his basic tactics make it go wrong every single time. I think he should work, if he stops doing a Pardew and trying to change us into the type of team we'll never be (not without a total clearout and a f*** load of money, which we don't have, being spent). He seems, apart from the above defiency, to be an intelligent manager, if he manages to our strengths he could do well, but I think it may be too late, he's in danger/has already lost the confidence of the players, unfortunately.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

We definitely need to be using Cabaye properly when he's completely fit.

It's going to be a bob Bradley at Swansea situation new blood trying to bite off more than they can chew and his record showed as 2 wins , 2draws and 7 defeats I think we'll end up the same way either dougie or someone else by December

"I think we don't have to use excuses for our style of playing, because the system is not so difficult to play, it's quite easy"

It's probably very easy if you were FDB, with FDB's ability to read the game and playing alongside players of similar quality.

He is playing against every strength we have and look what happens when you try and change too much too quickly.

3-4-3

The first performance looked like a duck

The second performance swam like a duck

The third performance walked like a duck

The fourth perfomance has just quacked like a duck

It's a duck, a F***** lame one at that.

Whether 3-4-3 is right is one thing, but he is asking the players to move and pass which some of them fail to do. I've seen non-league teams manage it, which tells you it is not about technical ability.

We have a lack of squad depth and too many overpaid do-nothings. That is a result of several years of poor quality recruitment.

N.b. even Sam took 10 games and some truly awful football to get many of the same players to play effectively, and we only managed that for a few games before losing 4 of the last 5 matches under him.

In combination, the above tells me it's not just FDB or the system's fault. There are far deeper issues.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Palace need to show more...

Crystal Palace 0-2 Swansea

Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer had a few frank words to say in his post-match BBC Sport interview after his side's second home defeat of the season.

Those who are easily offended might want to look away now...

"We have to show some balls from the first second of the game," says the Dutchman. "It wasn't until after we were two nil down, that we showed we really can play.

"It was not because of the quality of Swansea that we lost. We made two mistakes in the first-half, they had two half chances and scored both times.

"It is a very hard lesson for us. If we do not show balls or courage then you get punished. In second-half you saw a different Palace who creates chance and with a bit of luck you make one of those. It just wasn't the day for us.

"Hopefully you will see a different Palace after international window."

Pardew was a mistake to sack as I've said before, he had us attacking and creating plenty of excitment going forward it took him time but he eventually did that, he then had to endure losing Souare which was a bigger disaster then many on here realised for the whole season, when Dann came back from injury he also didn't install any confidence in our defending for some strange reason and we never improved with it, we should have spent money on improving the back four instead of paying Pardew to leave and giving too much to big Sam, that is what I would have done.

Our new manager has just inherited the same problems Pardew had with individual defending cock ups only now coupled with the loss of Zaha which will alleviate somewhat when he comes back but we have achieved absolutely nothing and all we've done is throw away money on players and managers that should have been used solely to improve the defence of pardew's team, sad really when you think about it..cos it was exciting going forward wasn't it.

Today should have got our players fired up, they are to blame for this mess.

Another poor home performance, lacked confidence ,sat back and did not press, a couple of blunders and game gone. Looked like we were playing away. No excuse as we had only 1 new player from last season. Every player should know every blade of grass on it. Last season we had the worse home record barring Boro and Sunderland and both were relegated. If we don't start putting in some shifts at home and arrest this slide then we will be found out. With the crowd turning looks very grim.
