But he's wanted by Palace and Sakho wants to join us and Liverpool know this and are acting accordingly. The BBC site quotes Liverpool today saying Sakho is £30 million and no loan. Will they hold out until the bitter end?? Who knows? He is wanted yes , but we and no one else will be paying the 30 mill , so it's upto Liverpool if they want an unwanted player collecting 100k a week for doing nothing and missing out on a large fee , We hold all the cards here , I imagine we will eventually Agee a fee of something like 20-22 mill with some add ons , that's if we don't just sign someone else first.

Why, like we did when we sold yannick. Their entitled to ask for what they want he's under contract at Liverpool They won't want to keep such a highly paid player worth so much who they need to offload past the start of the season... Ending of window. And that's three weeks to go now. The ball is only in their court is they feel they can wait til January. I don't think they can.

Sakho will be a Palace player by the end of the window and the club will make a mint on shirt sales with his name on the back.

Liverpool originally wanted 30m, in the end we paid 27m+ add ons surpassing the 30m if all adds on are met. I love Sakho back but just feel he's a maverick and de Boer seems a strict coach. Think it could personalities clash.

Much like we had to with Mandanda

Think it could personalities clash. Think it'd be a problem potentially if he wasn't first choice but with his talent there'd always be a place in the back three for him. Seems like the lad had fallen in love with Palace and that would mean a huge amount when wanting to be settled and do what the gaffer says. If he digs his heels in to get here I can't see him then falling out. But who knows. It is a risk and it why no one will pay £30m.

Do you really tnink tnere are no clubs with deeper pockets than ours who saw the instant impact he made with us? If his fitness is back there must surely be comp for his signature? As such wouldn't you hold out to the bitter end for the best price? And at today's prices £30m for sackho is not crazy. As others have said if he comes to us I suspect it would be close to window closure... and closer to their asking price than we would like.

I inherited a sh*t assistant last year when I took my job because her original boss let her crack on to her own devices. I changed that quickly. Klopp doesn't strike me as authoritarian whilst Allardyce & de Boar strike me as bosses who won't take any sh*t. Weigh in the fact that it's a World Cup year, Liverpool don't want him, we do as a club & a fanbase. I fully expect him to be our player.

Big Sam has worked with big egos in the past jay jay okocha , el hadj Diouf. I loved him to sign but this thought we're gonna get him at a knock down price is far from the truth. In my opinion.

I agree it won't be a knock down price, we made Benteke our priority last year and we got him for a few million less than they wanted. Those few million goes a lot towards the wages. Parish plays hardball. A portion of the fans don't like it because there's no instant gratification of a plethora of signings but our position in the footballing world means we have to pay as little as possible. I stand by my prediction that Sakho will be ours by end of August.
