Amazing how much Sakho and Cabaye brought to the team on our run. The amount of times Sakho killed an onslaught by cooly chesting the ball back to the keeper or bringing it down before passing to a player in space. Cabaye did the graft defensively but also played pinpoint passes to unlock the defence. Jimmy Mac hasn't looked anywhere near the player before he was injured and with no leader at the back we are always going to be up against it. Hennesey hasn't been the best but today I can't really fault him, perhaps he should've saved the shot for De Bryune but he dealt with so many shots that he was never going to keep a clean sheet, he stood no chance with the rest. That said, City were exceptional in and around the box today and even with the team that beat Chelsea I think we would've been hard pushed to get a point. Have we done enough? I guess we will see come 7.30 tonight. If Everton win then its gonna take the heat of us and we may be able to get something out our last 2 games. If the Swans get a point Sam is going to have to pull something out the bag against Hull.

I am convinced they will both get something. You are just like the old Brooklyn Dodgers fans. They always expected the worst and hope to be pleasantly surprised. This isn't a knock since I was brought up by one. Edited by kenbarr (06 May 2017 2.43pm)

Look guys, we lost today against a quality side. The only player they were missing was Aguero and they have top quality back up in Gabriel Jesus. We were missing Tomkins, Sakho and Dann. So our best three central defenders. Townsend had a knock mid week, wasn't on top form. I think Sam thought the only way to deal with their pace was to put Schluppy in the centre. Awful, awful performance. PVA looked absolutely dreadful. But we have to look forward to next week. And give support
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

More concerned with last weeks performance and what it could mean for the game against hull. I was more angry and concerned watching last Saturday's game

Can't we just all agree to ignore Willo, he's obviously a Brighton fan here to troll us, just don't feed him and he can scream his rubbish into the wind. Let him enjoy our bad performances if he wants, just don't take the bait.

When I joined this forum I though I was going to be among genuine Palace fans but seeing a lot of the posts here today I was sadly wrong. There are some who seem to delight in slagging us off and one, in particular, almost seems to have an orgasm when his voice of doom is correct. FFS we were without Cabaye, Dann, Sakho, Tomkins and I'm not sure Townsend was fully fit. Plus we were playing a team that cost the earth in fees. We still have our destiny in our own hands

This is the danger I see going into Hull. Big Sam and Sammy Lee have a massive job this coming week on the training ground.
