Agree. The gk situation needs re addressing in the summer. Hennessy until the end of the season. Steve mandanda may improve like de gea did. That said reports keep coming out saying mandanda has a desire to play for Marseille again. Not sure his committed. He came out and said himself that he is fully committed. Decide to believe the tabloid press over the man himself though.

Well it was enough of a mistake for Big Sam to mention it in his post-match interview (on the Palace Membership website). You have to be strong in a position like that and he wasn't. Fact. So it's worth discussing. He can't do anything wrong in Painters eyes. Wouldn't waste your time trying to see the truth.

If that was a one-off mistake do you really think anyone would be concerned? We all make mistakes. But when you're a goalie you cant make those kinds of mistakes too often. But lets face it - he makes them ALL the time. Almost one a game. Not coming for balls when he should. Stepping away from his side of the goal for free-kicks and getting wrongfooted. It was a reasonable save, something I'd expect a premier league keeper to make. People have actually forgotten what it is like to have a good goalie. They make saves like the one Wayne made on Saturday all the time. It's what PL level keepers do without the constant mistakes and weak performances. One good save such as that shouldn't need to be highlighted in defence of a poor keeper. That to me shows out just how poor Wayne is and as I say, how people have forgotten what it is like to have a good goalie making such saves all the time.

Speroni would never have saved it as he wouldn't have reached it being a lot shorter than WH. Honestly though, I've stayed off here for a while as I cannot believe so-called 'fans' on here. We've won three games in a row with three clean sheets and here you all are still moaning about our keeper (who Sky Sports named as one of the 10 current best Premiership players yesterday). Why not 24 pages about why our £27m striker has only scored once in 14 league games? Pathetic.

Mandanda has not impressed me,and I think signing him was a mistake. We should sell Steve while he still has a decent reputation, and make signing a top class keeper one of our priorities over the summer.

Pleased to see WH keeping clean sheets. I'm not a 100% sure it's down to him and not the beefed up denfense he has in front of him. That being said clean sheets are clean sheets and we should all be happy. I'd still say Mandanda at the start of the season looked a better keeper. Not sure why people find it offensive when people say that. Tomkins is looking good now. But I'd also say Dann bang in form looks better. Is that slagging Tomkins off? No. And nor is having the view that Mandanda on his day might be a better keeper....

He's been in goal for the last three games where the whole team have won and kept clean sheets together as a unit. There is no denying that. Still doesn't mean that we don't need an upgrade in the goalkeeping department in the summer though. We will see upgrades in a few positions I would imagine and hope.

I have stayed off the subject of butter fingers Hennessy as it gets tedious and repetitive BUT why have you suddenly bought Jules back into the thread NO-ONE has mentioned him of late this has been about your favourite goalkeeper in our last match when he nearly gifted Watford a point and nothing about Jules. Take a break and settle down we all know you like Hennessy you have made the point hundreds of times. Just take your chill pill and settle down.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
