Lucky to escape a battering if not for Hennessey in goal. Real lack of depth as well as some supposed big players not turning up at all. Need a big response on Tues where the whole team need to step up to the plate. COYP !!!

Well done to Hennessey today.

Don't much care about losing 2-0 against Arsenal so long as we beat Swansea. Preferably along with a clean sheet and a Benteke goal.

Agreed, everyone knocks him but he's our best keeper bar none. With our goal under siege from kickoff an excellent performance under the circumstances.

F*ck off, he is our best player this season he is allowed one bad game, not exactly like the rest of the team turned up. Least he was trying rather than Benteke who did piss all and wasn't even jumping for headers.

Best player. For what he arm swinging or loosing the ball why trying to do a turn?

Compare him to the likes of Mahrez who is a similar type of player to him who has progressed more over the last two years? Its called having a football brain and Zaha does not have that. I have witnessed that all season.

He key passes per game is around 1.2 whereas you even has Matt Phillips at West Brom scoring more and assisting the same with better key passes per game and more passes in general.

You can say he our best player, but playing in a poor team as this, I am sure you'll find some players in lower leagues would do as well.

wonder what Seagulls will think when we pass them going down !

We need to buy a new back line NOW

and for goodness get rid of Benteke !
A complete waste of money !

Allardyce might think that he has taken on a harder job than he imagined with the strength of the overall squad.

Maybe this performance is just the tonic which is needed for him to work very hard to turn the player's attitudes, concentration levels etc. ? Been far too much talk of inheriting a great squad, too good to go down, comfortably mid table, never relegated etc.

Zaha not progressed as he should? More assists amd goals than any previous season and doesn't shirk his defensive duties. There's a reason why he was player of the season last year and why a lot of pundits are asking why he's been allowed to slip through England net.

People need to calm down a bit.

I agree that he has been very good this season but today he kept giving the ball away cheaply, didn't play the simple ball and seemed to lack energy. I think he had a good relationship with Pardew and I wonder if the AFCON will give him a chance to get his head straight. Despite being our most creative outlet this season he has been started on the left the last two games and I wonder if he is sulking a wee bit.

Arsenal moved the ball really well and Wenger had clearly noted how bad we are down the wings at defending this season. I felt a bit sorry for Kelly coming up against an in-form Sanchez but he did look slow, confused and generally awful. Ward looked better but got little support from Zaha (who had been good at getting back in recent games).

I thought that was our worst performance this season and it was only the subs who looked like they were out to impress Allardyce. It's early doors though and Tuesday is when we need to perform as today was an almost forgone conclusion.

Predictable result.

What was not predictable was just how much of an utter shambles our team is. The defence is clueless. Would not miss any if them.

There are far superior teams than us in the championship and that's the truth.

That was the lowest point of the season for me, truly truly awful.

Not for me it was more about luck more often then not it would have been row z.

Dog turd performance. That was like a training game for Arsenal, Zaha stank the place out, Benteke poor again but had no service, Townsend complete waste of space, defence is just a joke. Our squad is so thin it's ridiculous.

Big Sam has a massive job on his hands repairing the damage Pardew has done to this squad, I think we need 3-4 players AT LEAST.

We must beat Swansea, simple as.
