If it was a "coming together", it was the same as the Rooney foul on Wilf in the penalty area in the Cup Final that Clutterf*ck didn't give - and no card for Wilf either.
I didn't see it as a coming together. Wilf jinked left in his run and the defender brought him down. Big Sam said it was a pen and I agree.
Still, Clutterf#ck was never going to give us a pen in the 87th minute unless it was totally blatant, like the Gomes foul - for which he should have been carded, by the way.

Spot on Matthau. My earlier post was a cryptic message which has apparently gone over many heads but I won't explain it. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur. My point is that maybe it is the players that repeatedly cost us rather than the manager, who wasn't responsible for giving away or missing a penalty today. Pardew would have been slaughtered today but we must give Allardyce time.

He missed the earlier penalty Watford should of got, so I don't mind him being s***.

This is the problem with Clattenburg . He cant make his mind up when put on the spot and when he 20 seconds later realises he has made the wrong call then makes another poor decision to in his mind make up for it .The Watford pen was as weak as any I have seen .

We should have won this game pen or no pen Watford were there for the taking and we blew it .
Very disappointed with just a point.

..Clatterburg was brilliant today, very fair and kept the game flowing as best as anyone could, lots of tough stuff going on so he did really really well I thought.

Never thought in a million years I could say that.

Agree, can't blame him for our terrible second half.
Can't hold the ball at all. Long wasted clearances and so much in the air. We have talent to play better than this. New blood, preferably with some creative skills, much needed. Thought WH had another solid game and he should keep his place when Mandanda recovers.

So unesessary to waste points in the situation we are right now.
Next up is Arsenal and that means no points on the board. So we will start the 2017 in bottom 3 and we have to fight ourselves to get out of it.
next 3 months will be crusial and we got to at least make 6 -7 wins of those matches.
It will be a hard end of the season so we need the wins in the coming months.

Yeah I reckon we need six wins and four draws which gets us to 38 points. In our favour is that we still have to play all the relegation candidates at home - starting with Swansea on Jan 3. Must win!

I said exactly that to my Mrs before he stepped up...Bledin obvious

Imagine how Swansea at home would feel if Pardew were still our coach and they had replaced Bradley with Allardyce.

Much more confident about it now.

He had a very good game.

Both penalties were penalties and I agree with Redknapp and Henry that Zaha's tumble wasn't deserving of a penalty.

Or a booking!!

When a player goes to ground in the penalty area in that fashion having initiated a minimal contact he is always in danger of getting a 'Yellow' card.

Big Sam's post match comments were as biased and sour as they always have been in games where we've got a result against him.
