Can't think of a goal that was one that he f*cked up, didn't like that he didn't move for the free kick at Everton though.
His distribution is good, he does command his box better than hennessey and he looks like he actually wants to be there. Danns a massive miss.

Best keeper since Speroni. Better than both Hennessy and McCarthy. If you can't get it, don't go for it. No point just looking like you tried. You just risk being out of position then if it comes back off the post or bar (or otherwise off the line).

Indeed. You also risk injury.

The goal Everton scored wouldn't have gone in if the wall had jumped, a matter in which Mananda had been overruled by Delaney.

Do folk not think his distribution is better than Hennesey's ? I'm not convinced all his defenders are used to receiving the ball quickly from the keeper instead of watching it getting hoofed upfield, however.

He gave the ball straight to Okuzaki on Saturday!

He plays the ball out from the back. Has given it away once , didn't result in a goal.

What has he done to make you think he is so good. A goalkeeper that doesn't even try is a worry, he is either out of position, not anticipating the shot or lazy. I don't buy the crap, waiting for it to come back off the post or bar, I have never heard such rubbish, the chance is about 1%, but according to you he will be ready.

But it should have done - and that was after 1 minute. You could also say that it was his clearance that put Ledley under pressure that led to the first Sunderland goal.

Sorry, but Jamie Martin is talking rubbish if he thinks that you don't even try going for a ball in case it comes back off the post. Never heard such nonsense. Sorry, but it's the Emperor's New Clothes all over again - just because he's come from France and is the number 2 for their national team, people assume he's great. Yet the same people say that WH is no good because he's only the 1st choice for Wales. If WH (or McCarthy last season) had been in goal and not bothered trying to save a shot then he'd have been ripped apart on here.

I'm not a cheer leader for the Mandanda fan club. But from what I've seen I think he's better than the boring taff and will go on to be a good keeper.
I also hated the Steeeeeeeve chant, but seeing how much it winds up a lot of the fans around me in the Holmesdale and a lot on here, I like it now.

So it took Marseille over 300 league games and 70 odd european games to find out he was no good?

He made no move to try and save the Everton or W Ham goals either. Surely you want a keeper who is going to at least make some effort? The other goals he's conceded such as Bournemouth, 'Boro and Sunderland were all potentially stoppable. Perhaps if we stopped the stupid 'Steeeve' chant and let him get on with keeping out goals we might see an improvemement?

At Everton he expected the wall to jump (as they should have done). Did you see the WH goal? No goalkeeper would have had any chance of even moving for that.

I think its fair to say the spotlight will be on him for the next few games. We are all entitled to an off day and whether you like it or not his performance on Saturday was questionable at times.Dann returning will be a massive help of course but it was his positioning and reflexes that looked a bit suspect and they are individual issues.I hope it was just a blip as I like him and what he brings to the team, time will tell however.

i was referring to how Hennessy would have performed, I have no issues with Mandanda

WH would have still been looking for two or three of those shots now let alone diving for them lmao
