For team coherence and stability I'd prefer McCarthy. Wilshere is a great player, but with his fitness reliability i think it's far more strategically beneficial to get McCarthy. Exciting window this, though, innit?!

tbh I don't want him
that would mean a player who won't be ours next season either way and may miss most of this. or a another proper player...maybe not quite as good but very decent. not an injury whore and one that if he blossoms will be literally priceless next season should vultures curculate

A mate of mine on the Isle of Wight tells me that he is affectionately known as jack wheelchair at Arsenal.....says it all really.

Apparently Wilshere is 100% fit, and has been for a little while. He pushed for a loan move. This is what I got from a colleague that supports Arsenal.

Have to say that I had to do a double-take at the headline: "Bournemouth and Palace in Wilshere race", as I had a sudden flash of AP and Eddie Howe screaming down the home straight in the Paralympics.

We would suit him plus it means he doesn't have to move away but I could understand him going abroad - not as much pressure from the media, a bit of sunshine and a less punishing league.

Sorry, that was supposed to be replying to Collier Row. Edited by antipodeagle (31 Aug 2016 12.15pm)

I was basing upon the glowing reviews that Hamburg and Genoa fans have of him. Furthermore, Jack Wilshere, although a very good player, hasn't exactly had the best time the last few seasons, has he? Rincon is reported to be about 8mill, which given the inflation of the Premierleague is a steal, in light of his previous reviews. Jack Wilshere is on about 140k. Then there is the aspect of the future. If we buy Rincon, we have him for good, even if he's s*** or quality. If we have Wilshere and does fantastic, then he's going back to Arsenal, and if he's s***, then he's s***. Obviously I would prefer both, but if I had to choose, I would choose Rincon.

If I was Wenger I would push him down the Bournemouth route. Out of the two they play the style more similar to Arsenal's. I've also stood next to Wilshere once and he looked like a dwarf, so I'm not sure our tactic of pass, pass, Delaney hoof would suit him.

Luckily he'll be surrounded by our set of midfield giants in Cabaye, McArthur and Puncheon.
