He's overpriced by 30% or a third which is what most Prem players are over priced by this Summer since the new thing money. It's like saying a house is over priced after the market has risen. They have all risen so not over priced.

I appreciate your view, Rudi, but still feel this was a tremendous bit of business for us however sad it was to lose Yala.

However, it's interesting that Everton traded in John Stones at well over his "book value" to fund Bolasie but we paid proportionally less over the odds for Benteke. Liverpool wanted to recover what they paid out for him last year. All in all, very shrewd business by Parish and co. Well done!!!

I'm talking about the transfers of said players are 30% higher than valuations last summer and that is the case regarding Stones and Bolasie. Maybe a bit more with Bolasie as some were saying they'd accept £15 mil and not the £18-£20mil he was valued at. In the case of Benteke you can assume his value dropped due to failure at that level but then LFC demand it back up to that price due to tv money inflation in the market.

I'm taking face value of the figures available rather than theorising but I take your point. The outcome is, however, the same. A good piece of business!

They've got that very wrong. And their figures are just theory anyway. They haven't included: Previous interest and speculation Edited by Rudi Hedman (06 Sep 2016 12.04am)

Sounds like we're singing from the same song sheet here unless I'm mistaken.

You could say Everton have but he'll probably do well there. Same with Benteke here. Maybe Bolasie has been inflated by a bit more than 30% but not that much.
