This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle Nothing has been released but I remember someone saying that there is a digital animation of the possible redevelopment that SP shows people behind the scenes. Very frustrating.

What plans has Parish released? What images? Post some links. The quickly knocked up CPP graphic was there as a response to Spurs plans for CPP when they were after the Olympic Stadium. I do not accept that the proposals regarding CPP were not, at the time, a serious statement of intent, as subsequently Parish went into detail as to how it would be dropped due to the difficulties with local opposition. The plans for the shop and ticket office have received planning consent, which expires in July, without being progressed. The club gave the CPST money to find a new training venue, an exercise that went on for an age, before hilariously buying the existing training ground. Parish initially said that the Whitehorse Lane stand would be developed first, as it involved the smallest loss of seats, and that negotiations with Sainsbury's were progressing. The latest is the development of the Main Stand, but as of now, no plans for that have been submitted for approval, so that won't be happening any time soon.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle In terms of the Main Stand redevelopment we supposedly hired the architects that Liverpool have used to re-design their main stand (which will open in Aug 2016). Usually you see an artists impression pretty quickly, yet I've not seen anything and CPFC have gone pretty quiet of late. It could be that the American's have requested a review of the whole project, however, from what I can see there is only 1 option, upgrade Selhurst Park. Incidentally when uncle Ron tried to get the main stand upgraded there was loads of opposition from the small number of houses in the Holmesdale corner. This has gone quiet too, yet surely any new design will be larger than Ron's. This suggests we are still some way from submitting plans. On a positive we have a better relationship with Croydon council so hopefully when plans are submitted we should face less opposition

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Selhurst Park redevelopment' by Penge Eagle I have heard Sainsbury's are considering re-fits of stores at the moment. This might be in the mix of planes, what is announced, when etc. They will need to redevelop at some point or watch a repeat of what happened in the '90s. They cannot build into us, not even the CPFC car park which is under lease in our name, and we cannot build into them, although we could build above them if we wanted. But that wouldn't help long-term projects. `

But if more new homes were included in the plan, even on a different site, than are lost the council would be sure to approve it. [quotes=Catfish;2983428] Definitely a better solution but ruled out because it would nescessitate the compulsory purchase of a few houses.

Planning consent can be extended by a relatively simple process. As to the other points you make, all valid. However, one of the main problems this club faces that other clubs do not is that we have Croydon as our LPA; and considerable local hostility from a multi racial non football population. Parish did recently reveal that the club had been scouring the area for an alternative to the water-logged academy facilities; but the prices offered when they knew it was us were extortionate. Of course, there may be a degree of ineptitude on the part of the club. All is never all rosy. However, this one always looked like a long running saga. Don't expect the scaffolding to go up around Selhurst until the end of the decade.

I did read somewhere on here that our relationship with the council has improved since CPFC2010 bought the club.

Upgrading the club shop will generate more revenue I guess
