Ok Hinge and Bracket, enlighten us with your proposed immigration rules and regulations.

Well first of all forceably cleanse all the UKIP, 'South Africa was better with Apartheid' types to the Isle of White and allow decent, hard working, pleasant overseas peeps with good old fashioned Christian type values but who are fleeing wars not of their making to take their place. It would really put the country on a higher footing.

We may even win Eurovision.

Funnily enough, that is quite in tune with Fabian Society thinking:

“Men and Women of European stock, between the ages of 20-30 are the immigrants best suited to assist immigration policy...The utmost care should, of course, be taken to admit only those physically and mentally sound and free from criminal records, who will introduce a sound stock into the country. The eugenics of immigration control cannot be overstressed”.

Fvck me. All that just to win The Eurovision Song Contest? They need to get out more.

Admittedly, they did say it in 1945 and probably regretted it later.

Hansel and Gretel's inability to offer their immigration policy illustrates well my original point: the Left would have no controls whatsoever on immigration and are more than happy to see the consequences visited on the existing UK working class.

Answer the question. Otherwise the mud you sling is worthless without you backing it up.

Your reluctance to tell us your proposed immigration rules and regulations speaks volumes.

The Calais problem is really for the French to sort out - when Sangatte closed it wasn't replaced with anything, so you finish up with hundreds of Syrians, Afghans and Africa roaming Calais and local crime has gone through the roof.

Anyone entitled to asylum should get it in the nearest safe place closest from where they came, and the rest should be provided with a new passport from their homeland and repatriated.

Evidence that Labour governments have been soft on immigration is not convincing. It was Labour who brought in the 1968 Commonwealth Immigrants Act and, more recently was responsible for introducing civil penalties for those employing illegal migrants, extended the powers of immigration officers to arrest and created harder laws on facilitation of illegal migrants. The reality is that both Labour and the Tories have acted pretty consistently on the issue when actually in office and confronted with the practicalities.

The Left as represented by Napoleon and Snowball would repeal all the measures you mention and have absolutely no controls over immigration whatsoever.
