As Martin Samuel wrote, if information was given willingly i.e. not under coercion, payment or phone tapping, then there quite simply isn't a case to answer.

If someone at Cardiff hates Tan enough to give us the team, that's his problem.

Anyway, the team was wrong, so Cardiff would do bloody well to demonstrate that it contributed to them losing. Can't see how points could be docked even if it is true. At worst, a fine for being in the grey side of the laws but that would open the floodgates with every club every week. This will be brushed off.

To put all our minds at rest and for us fans to enjoy our great achievement of survival i think we need someone from our board to come out and make a statement? Thoughts anyone?

My thoughts are; NO, we shouldn't even give the stupid story and that unfit pr!ck at Cardiff the time of day. This is all to do with his beef against Moody, nothing more.

Just been on Talk sport that F.A are looking at a 4 or 6 points deduction for the Cardiff team leak. They will make their decision after final games!

Are you winding us up?

Ok here's a slightly different take on the whole shebang!

A Tan minion goes into a phone shop and buys a pay-as-you-go phone in the name of Ian Moody -

He texts a request for the information to several of the Cardiff staff known to be sympathetic to the 'real' Ian -

He then texts the team selection to the real Ian Moody and Dougie Freedman -

another minion 'borrows' the mobile of a Cardiff employee and creates a message giving the team selection, which is then sent to the 'not' Ian Moody -

So:-

several staff have requests for info on their phones

the real Ian and Dougie get given the team sheet, whether or not they wanted it - Freedman rings OGS to report this

an employee has the evidence that he sent the info on his mobile and gets sacked after investigation (despite his protestations of innocence)

the real Ian Moody denies all knowledge of asking for the info, and nothing is found on his mobile to prove it. He is accused of deleting the message.

The pay-as-you-go disappears into the Severn never to be seen again, but phone company records show that an 'Ian Moody' sent certain messages at a certain time.

A spiteful person knows no bounds to extract 'revenge'

I hate to say it, as he writes for that despicable 'newspaper', but Martin Samuel has well and truly nailed it.

Anyone know what these Villa sackings are about? Presume it's nothing to do with texts and team-sheets!?

Seems to me that the only rule is not to disclose information (which Cardiff have done) - there's nothing about asking for it (which we have allegedly done). Would be bloody hilarious if Cardiff are the only ones punished for this!

What have Cardiff got to gain? They will not get the points! This is seriously unbelievable, this just shows OGS has no substance as a manager, as he had no plan b to change things around, how do they explain why Marshall was beaten 3 times? Is it because we knew what gloves he would be wearing? Always someone casting a cloud over anything good we do, I sincerely hope Cardiff get beaten 4 times now, and end up rock bottom! And Dougie Freedman, what an absolute grass!

This has all the makings of a daytime soap opera with subterfuge, cloak and dagger dealings, accusations of betrayal, power crazed megalomaniac with Simon Cowell's trouser sense and Gadaffi's sunglasses and a national news organisation (namely the BBC) writing conspiracy theories penned by a supporter of a rival, complete with spelling mistakes and errors. You watch, it'll be coming soon to one of those crap Sky/Virgin channels scheduled between "Here comes Honey Boo Boo" and "Gypsy Sisters" or something.

It'll probably be called "Tan the man with no Plan"...

Cardiff's letter claims it was an "unexpected result"
how can a team in a higher league position and on the back of a victory over Chelsea beating a relegation struggler be "unexpected"

Graham Taylor just said on 5Live this kind of thing happens all the time and Cardiff should've just kept quiet about it. Scoffed at the idea the result of the game was in any doubt at all.

F*ck off Tan, you odious turd.
