Only about 4 League 2 games on. Wait before deciding who to back, the weather may make decision easier.

SWINDON 8/15 v shrewsbury
MAN CITY 2/7 V Fulham

Double = EVENS

Then there's also
COVENTRY 4/5 v Oldham
DONCASTER 4/5 v Leyton Orient
LEEDS 8/11 v Bristol
WATFORD 4/5 v Huddersfield

Also,

Notts County v SHEFF UTD 7/5
Pboro v HULL 5/4

Add 1 of the home ones to the double for about 5/2 or 1 of the away ones for about 7/2. Quite fancy Leeds or Watford.

Edited by Rudi Hedman (18 Jan 2013 8.52pm)

I like your first bet - Swindon / City. Very surprised if that didn't come in. Of the others, I would avoid Watford - soccerbase tells me Hudds are a bit of a bogey team. Sheff Utd have entered a blip - Avoid, Posh are in good form - I would avoid Hull. Don't get me wrong those selections SHOULD win but some look dodgy.

After my own extensive homework I have decided to do

Stoke +1 Handicap 4/7 (v Swansea)
Charlton +1 handicap 8/11 (v Blackburn)
Swindon to beat SHrews 8/15

Treble Pays just over 3/1

Edited by Pussay Patrol (18 Jan 2013 11.26pm)

I'm tempted by:

Brentford at home to Tranmere, very good record at home, Tranmere in a bit of a blip.

Doncaster at home to Orient, the manager change is putting me off slightly.

Coventry at home to Oldham, Coventry starting to hit some form.

Any thoughts on the above?

Not sure. Tranmere are doing well in the league still and think Brentford are better away from home. Same could be said for Donny and Cov actually! If you are dead set on this one, do it in a trixie so if one loses you get your cash back.

I'm only gonna go with one of them on top of Man City and Swindon.

Brentford haven't lost at home since August. Brentford have slightly higher odds (understandably) than the other selections, but I think I'm leaning more towards Doncaster.

Couldn't back Newcastle no matter who they were playing. Reading showed great spirit in their last match.

Something's not right at St James's Park, the fact that Remy chose QPR over them is slightly worrying

They're due a win.

Will probably do:

Swindon, Man City, Donny. 3/1. Match that stake with a double of Man City, Swindon at evens. Rather than do a double in 3 or a treble in a 4fold where I'm less sure of which will let me down, I'm pretty confident as you can be the swindon, city double will cover a loss on the 3/1 treble.

I may however do this with Leeds instead of Donny. 5/2.

The 4fold of city, swindon, donny, leeds is 6/1. Not enough to do for me and you'll only make money if all 4 come in. Stake back if 3 win. May as well do a straight treble with half your stake and the swindon, city double at evens with the other half.

You could do 4 trebles and 1 fourfold - 5 bets, basically a yankee without the doubles

Not confident on Leeds personally - bit inconsistent and Bristol City have a new manager taking his first match (O'Driscoll)

Yep. Possibilities, possibilities. Thing is, the Swindon, City is more nailed on than most games so IMO you may as well do a separate double and then a separate treble with those 2 plus 1 other, rather than a 4fold of Swondon, MCity plus 2 others. Always in the back of your mind you'll back 3 and 4 win or you back 4 and 3 win, the 3 being Swindon, City, Donny. Ignore the 6/1 odds, stick to 3.
