Really wonder if there's any truth in these pellergino rumours. Not one English paper has run with this story. That is probably more of an indication that there is truth in the rumours more than not.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Frank De Boer in talks!' by kenbarr I wonder if he's still a viable option? No rumours from sky sports guillem balugue or any other English media outlets about Mauricio Pellergino. Edited by Dan89 (13 Jun 2017 7.32am)

It should be obvious to anyone reading this "article" that it's a total pile of lazy horses****. It's not even internally consistent. Says that Parish contacted Silva and offered to fly him out to Spain for a discussion, but found that he was as good as signed up to Watford; and then reckons that he was lazy and not quick enough off the mark? It is as I and a number of others called it in the first place: He wasn't even considering Silva. I continue to be amazed that people actually get paid real money for making up f***ing garbage like this. They know absolutely f*** all, can't be bothered to try to find out, won't admit that they aren't ITK and so just invent whatever fantasy they can think of that sounds most scandalous and titillating. Never mind the harm they do to reputations, feelings and businesses. Utter parasites and that's being charitable.

Make of that what you will. Maybe no truth at all but I'll tell you how I feel in such scenarios: I work in remote areas of Australia, Aboriginal communities. You either love it or loathe it. I love it. Whenever a contract runs out I get suitors, and there's ONE main condition that determines my decision: KEENESS. You do not want to be stuck for 6 months to a year on a remote Aboriginal community with people that aren't KEEN about you being there - it can be HELL. So if the article is true, Silva is kind of keen on the Palace job over Watford as it would look significantly less risky, but he's already had a chat with Watford when Allardyce resigns. So, Watford are now keener to get him across the line, but Parish asks him to 'wait' while he has his holiday. So, Silva is getting calls from Watford who have already chatted to him before Palace, and Parish want's him to W.A.I.T while ee az iz oliday... But then it may not be a true article...but then I do recall the less pleasing idiosyncracies of Mr. Parish. Oh but yes! Someone will remind me, 'He's worked so f@cking hard poor rich c@nt hasn't he? And he NEEEEEEEEEDS a little holiday....poor little rich c@nt... (I haven't had a holiday in years BTW). If it wasn't for that poor rich c**t as you so eloquently put it, you wouldn't have a club to bitch about, if it takes a couple of weeks to find a manager to fit Palace so be it. Maybe get frustrated about something a little more important in life. Edited by kev64 (13 Jun 2017 8.08am)

No rumours from sky sports guillem balugue or any other English media outlets about Mauricio Pellergino. In view of the fact that the one thing that the media all agreed on was that Marco Silva was our number one choice yet Steve Parish debunked that last night in a tweet I wonder if any of the rumours are true

I suppose it's possible to think that "he would say that, wouldn't he", but the first credible story, linking us to Silva, was from Dominic Fifield on 24 May: And he signed for Watford on 27 May: This suggests that SP's version is fairly accurate on timescale, albeit "next day" might be exercising a bit of licence on timescale. I suspect that for Silva the Watford bird-in-the-hand was a safe option that he didn't want to put at risk.
