The diamond in my wife's engagement ring has more flexibility than some of the minds that can be found here. With respect, many on here, just like your good self, have firm opinions on certain matters and simply do not agree with an alternative view. You disagree with others and vice versa. I have a polarised view of most of your posts and I suspect you have of mine but I haven't questioned your "Flexibility", merely concluded that you have firm and entrenched views just like "Yours truly".I respect your viewpoint even though we are not 'Eagles on the same twig' and I always seek to argue my case free from rancour and vitriol. In the final analysis, HOL would be exceedingly dull if it was just one 'Love-In' and the cut and thrust of lively debate is all part of the rich tapestry of this cherished site. The smorgasbord of opinions is most welcome. I think the debate should return to the subject matter, 'Brexit' ! Edited by Willo (02 Nov 2019 4.13pm)

Including yours wissy, as you ALWAYS assume you are right and everyone else is wrong.....you've got some nerve accusing others of being inflexible..

So if it should be null and void it needs re doing. I wanted our Parliament to have taken that decision but it seems they are being denied sight of the report before it is dissolved. As the new Parliament will, in my current opinion, be one with a substantial Tory majority and that the Tory MPs being selected are on average much further to the right than in the past, they won't be minded to take this issue seriously, because it won't suit their agenda. The issue will be amplified by the anticipated interference in the forthcoming election. Until we get better control and regulation over the social media companies and we can all be confident that what we are reading there are genuine comments from British people then this will go on meaning that nothing at all can be trusted. You may hate the BBC but for me it's one of the last bastions of our democracy. We would all be much poorer without it.

That way the proposals get subjected to critical examination. Maybe my role here is similar? I can be very flexible. I am drinking white wine this evening, much though I prefer a full bodied red, simply to keep my wife company!

With respect I think you are missing the point. If, as is reported, our own intelligence community, have concluded that the interference was so severe as to lead them to recommend that the 2016 referendum be null and voided then this is a very serious matter. It's way beyond tribal politics which are being manipulated in the service of those who wish to see the western alliance destroyed. We are ALL being played so we ALL need to stand together against this, whatever our particular personal preferences might be. I’d be utterly amazed if that ends up being the conclusion.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |
